I hate this commercial. It's based on a huge fallacy. It assumes that faster brain activity is better, and it implies that the brain should have the same amount of activity all the time, which isn't true. We don't even know what the measurements were. What parts of the brain were they monitoring? Maybe he was distracted and his mind was racing in the first test, and he was concentrated in the second.

I used to fail a lot. I failed grade 7, had to go to summer school for grade 8 and 9, but then in grade 10 I started to smoke weed at lunch. I passed every single course with above average grades... I even passed French, (I live in Quebec) which I don't even fucking speak, yet, I passed it.

I'm just 14, and I've never used alcohol, tobacco, etc. because that would be 100% illegal. My opinion of marijuana is the same as tobacco, alcohol(in excess), excessive caffeine, other illegal drugs, abuse of prescriptions, etc. And alcohol in moderation for adults does have beneficial effects. Alcohol is bad for you too, when you consume it to the point of drunkenness, as that alters your state of mind(you feel like you're in a different world, not in tune with reality).

I don't know...Pot is such a touchy subject. Some people say it's detrimental to your health others say it helps you live better. I know people who have tried pot and are ok, but then there's one of my friends who used pot and stopped caring, got really skinny, and eventually got kicked off of his school's wrestling team. I used to fail a lot. I failed grade 7, had to go to summer school for grade 8 and 9, but then in grade 10 I started to smoke weed at lunch. I passed every single course with above average grades... I even passed French, (I live in Quebec) which I don't even fucking speak, yet, I passed it.

its proven that cannabis does no damage to your brain cells, instead of killing them off it enhances them, read up on it, theres plennnnnty of cannabis books and scientist reports- it was used for 100's of years as possibly the best medicine in the world with no side effects, whereas pills that are prescribed do more good than bad, try being on a course of 3 different pills for 3 months, then stop taking them - cough up blood feel like shit, - smoke a bong, hay presto your somewhat better!

Marijuana alters your state of mind. That's unhealthy, by definition. Marijuana AT A MINIMUM also has the same health risks as cigarettes, such as lung cancer. Marijuana also makes people apathetic to their work. I'm not going to be doing a religion debate now.

I'm just 14, and I've never used alcohol, tobacco, etc. because that would be 100% illegal. My opinion of marijuana is the same as tobacco, alcohol(in excess), excessive caffeine, other illegal drugs, abuse of prescriptions, etc. And alcohol in moderation for adults does have beneficial effects. Alcohol is bad for you too, when you consume it to the point of drunkenness, as that alters your state of mind(you feel like you're in a different world, not in tune with reality).

Marijuana is good for MEDICINAL purposes, not messing up the mind. i learned about the dangers of alcohol and drugs in health classes from 5th-8th grade. It's also common knowledge that people who smoke pot often become apathetic and lazy over time. Weed is OK as clothing because your not actually using it in a negative way. All drugs are bad when abused. Getting high is abuse.

I don't know...Pot is such a touchy subject. Some people say it's detrimental to your health others say it helps you live better. I know people who have tried pot and are ok, but then there's one of my friends who used pot and stopped caring, got really skinny, and eventually got kicked off of his school's wrestling team. It's like he doesn't even care about anything anymore. Sure there are plenty of people who came out alright after pot, but not my friend. That's one too many if you ask me.
