  • Not suppose use sand

  • Nice gecko but watch out for impaction that roach seems a bit big for him dont feed him food that's bigger than the space beetween his eyes

  • your suppose to feed them crickets, mealworms and wax worms. not a dubia roach

  • @StephanieCS21 Dubia cockroaches are by far the best feeder insect you can feed to your leopard gecko, they possess the highest amount of protein which means, more meat and less chitin = healthier and a bigger leopard gecko.

  • Awesome Leo gecko. The dubia looks a bit big tho??

  • Just cause he eats it fine doesn't mean it's okay get smaller ones

  • I ment can kill it

  • Sand can it because it get in them and they get cloged up

  • i keep my gecko's in sand too and they like it =) but i just feed it normal size crikets =P

  • 9 dubias are youtubers

  • what a pig

  • how safe r these 2 feed to leo's?

  • @hunterb89 you shouldnt really... get smaller ones.

  • @hunterb89 as long as you get appropriate sized roaches... best feeders in my opinion... best for the animal and easiest for you..

  • crickets, superworms, wax worms and dubia roaches for sale... pls contact 09161883149

  • @MrJTacos well, they seem to be doing just fine in the wild...jesus, why do people have to interfere with their natural environments so much?? they don't inhale sand and even if they do accidently eat a bit when they eat, they can still pass it out the other end...don't be so naive.

  • You really shouldn't feed on sand. :/ If you're gunna use sand, hand-feed or feed in a diff tank. (If that's calcium sand, then that is one of the worst substrates you can use; leos get a craving for calcium, and they will eat it on purpose, further increasing the risk of impaction. Calcium sand is NOT digestible, despite what it says on the bag. Also, adult dubia should not be fed to leos (they're too big for any leopard gecko to digest).

  • wow, that is a big meal for a gecko don't feed it any more than that when the gecko is that size.

  • nice leos but dont use sand

  • @Sarahlydia26

The sand can cause impaction and can explode their tummy especially if it is calcium Sand it encourages to eat the sand and the actual sand piles up in tummy

  • So this guy is obviously feeding his gecko too big of food and is risking the life of the gecko by using sand. :( Poor little guy, I guess some owners didnt do their research before they took the responsibility :D

  • you should teach him to chew his food. hes gonna choke one of these days ya know

  • pause at 0:47<3 cute face ever

  • ya you can kill it

  • you should give him more little food and have reptile carpet then sand because sand can kill it

  • @doniellemichelle you shouldn't put any reptile with claws on carpet, they can pull out their claws and damage their feet on the carpet fibres....Leopard gecko's are from desert terain so sand is their natural happiest environment, i'd love to know how you think sand will kill it if thats how they live in the wild... you're right about the size of the food in this vid tho, ...i wish people would research their pets more.....

  • @sarahlydia26 you can use reptile carpet mate

  • appetizing!

  • Pooor gecko sand and too big food

  • @LeopardGecko1337 you can still have adults on sand although, you do have to give him smaller food

  • I think the dubia is a little bit too big for this gecko.. :)

  • 15 minutes can save you 15% or more on car insurance

  • YUMM!!! Listen to that CRUNCH

  • i understand this is an old video, but might i suggest switching your sand to Repti-Carpet?

  • Awsome Vid What Type Of Leopard Gecko Is He Because He is a lovely colour :D

  • Ahh duude the crunching of the roach is leaving me with chills down my back. Gross Dx haha

  • My leo is picky Only crickets for her xP

  • im glad we dont eat like that. just shove a whole cow in our mouth and slowly work it down...

  • little to big better give him 2 small than 1 big ;))

  • @Reptyler14 i been breeding for 9 years now, i have other resources aswell. these are facts

  • @Reptyler14 if you look at the yellow and tremper albino thy hve the same exact characteristics. which is why the high yellow is the tremper albino. it was discovered in late 19 hundreds.Mack Snow: created from the Tremper Albino, Blizzard, and Eclipse, three recessive traits. mack snows do have albino in them. now to get the ruby eyed maxck snow u need a blazing blizzard and a raptor.

  • @Reptyler14 What about crested gecko's ?

  • I subbed you can you sub me back

  • HOLY CRAP that is 1 big ass bug

  • @Reptyler14 and the tremper albino isn't the only albino, what about the super snow? has albino in it. and the jungle, moslty albino, thats all i mixed with it. the tremper albino isn't a pure albino as u said it is a mixture of things. and the mack snow has albino in it also.

  • @Reptyler14 it was the first gecko found. and uneed to be more specific about the sand. different sand for different ages. paper towels r best for young geckos. u can use calcium sand for adults. Adults digest easier, what u do is u put a small dish of calcium so they do not just eat the sand. and just because its man made doesn't mean it is harmful. Theres man made food for cows, chickens, pigs, rabbits, even fish. man can sometimes create better ingredients than mother nature.

  • @Reptyler14 yah you do too i dont mean to seem like im trying to fight... but thanks for the discussion without getting all butt hurt its a nice change! :)

  • At first i thought a dubia was a car XD

  • @Reptyler14 no once he is old enough it doesnt matter trust me... i have had babies die from impaction... (not bragging) but i have had adults that NEVER get impaction and they can handle it when they do happen to swallow a little bit of sand... but the chances of an adult swallowing is 10 times less than that of a baby or juvenile swallowing sand... but it doesnt matter you can do whatever you want with your reptile

  • that looks like it's a bit big for your gecko! food needs to be a bit smaller than their head

  • dont use sand but cool video

  • @mrReptilesurfer he is fine on sand at that age...

  • Hey, i currently have a Male Tangerine and i want to pair him up with a female, not necessarily for breeding purposes, just so i can have two in one enclosure.. My buddies got a raptor for sale (female),if i introduce her to my tang, will there be any problems ? can they live together fine ?

  • @rrredzzz they will be producing eggs eventually.... so id say just let them breed and have eggs.... its fun plus it might be a good combo :) just dont put to males together haha

  • should be ok, i have a male living with 3 females and they are producing eggs, you just need to make sure that if they are breeding the females body condition doesnt drop off as having eggs takes up a lot of body resources. just check out a few different sites on the web. also you will need to buy a load of kit if you are planning on keeping the eggs and having hatchlings, the femmes lay a fair few eggs in batches of 1 or 2 at a time.

  • My leopard gecko Camo look just like this! Look at the video on my channel. Temper Albino's aregreat :) but seriously yours looks just like mine :P

  • not a morph, its the most common species of leopard gecko. tremper albino. this was the first kind of leopard gecko that was discovered. and yah the sand isnt really a good idea, over time they have stomach problems from eating the sand, when they strike at prey they may get some sand in their mouths. best to buy calcuim sand. its expensive but if u love your gecko enough its worth it. nice vid btw. i dont think the bug should give ur a gecko a problem.

  • @connorbowendavid what's wrong with u, hating a living creature! I mean it's one thing to hate a team but to go out and call a living, important creature stupid, you have some serious issues

  • Mine looks sort of like that except th pink part is in 3 sections on her abdomen

  • OM NOM NOM!

  • That roach looks a bit big for him. I think your only supposed to feed them things no bigger than there head

  • @CritterGuy6296 it is too big, unless you want your gecko to get impaction...

  • MINE LOOKS JUST LIKE YOURS OMG

  • That is a good looking albino. Shouldn't be on sand, though.

  • does it hurt them

  • what morph is that!? mines just like it and i cant figure out what it is.

  • here u want me to cut that for u lol

  • not tellin u what 2 do but be careful feedin him dubia becuz thier stomacks arent that big

  • PWNED

  • You really shouldn't be using sand for your leos.Use white paper or tiles/slate instead.Newspaper should not be used IMO as the ink is poison.

Also, isn't an adult dubia a little big for leos to eat?

  • watch a snake it you bitches if you wana see somethin cool

  • bunch of lizards loving faggots

  • omg my lizard just pooped near my moms laptop XD i didnt notice it until i- OH GOD IT STINKS!!!!!!

  • @Boomkiller30 haha. I was on skype with one of my friends and i was holding my corn snake and it pooped on my laptop!!!!!!!! haha

  • @Boomkiller30 That is funny. Great comment.

  • How do you get your gecko chubby? ;D

  • cause theyr stupid fuckin animals

  • erwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww why would they eat that dirty thing!!!!

  • lizards suck dick. its all about snakes. you faggots need to buy a real pet bitches

  • i used to feed my lepord gecko crickets until my mum knocked them off and started screaming in a corner.. I was at my friends so she called my grandad now i have to feed him mealworms

  • I'm waiting for the second generation although I'm sure that my gecko can take down the full grown male. How big is your gecko ? Looks like a giant

  • Doesn't OP actually eat bugs? I read that on another site.

  • DO YOU THINK THE PUBLIC WOULD BE INTERESTED TO WATCH SOMETHING THAT DISGUSTING

  • @101doggies Obviously...why else would it have over 39,000 views?

  • this dubia seems to be too big for him

  • how cute at 0:47 squeaking says "thank you" lol..

  • It's too big

  • can i use real sand for substrate??? is their any chance of impaction? calci or real sand? plz reply

  • that is awesome. Check out my vids in hd of my leopard gecko eating a pinky. i have fed my gecko a huge palmetto roach. a Two inch one. i give my geckos a variety of foods, from tomato greenhorns to Giant silk worms. its funny cus some of my geckos like different foods. there real choosy. Now i do have some geckos that will eat anything that moves. all of my geckos are tame. i love leopard geckos. im sorry people. imma shut up now. lol

  • haha sick when you hear the roach crunching.....uuughhhhaaa

  • my leo, Digger, pulled a crazy ass stunt the other day... I set a dubia in his cage and he was on his house and he leaped from the top of his burrow onto the dubia and tore it to pieces....he didn't even eat it Lol he just annihlated it... it was pretty cool

  • great way to exterminate

  • Yeah, this is probably a feeder roach. I order hissing roaches from Fluker and my Gecko likes them.

  • Aw man... **crunch** gag

  • To everyone that are worried: those are feeder roaches, similar to crikets. They carry no disseases and there gutloaded, so there okay. My crested geckos love them!

  • dude id be careful feeding those to him :: they cary alot of diseases :/

  • @MICtheGUITARIST96 Dubia Roaches don't carry diseases. They're farm raised the same a crickets, mealworms, superworms, or any other feeder insects.

  • @MICtheGUITARIST96 Are you generally dumb?

  • @mrpoop608 are you generally an Dick ??

  • @MICtheGUITARIST96 Nah you're just a dumb ass

  • im fine with doing that but im just woried if the roach has bacteria that could harm my leos

  • dont use sand its bad for them mine died cuz of sand

  • That's pretty awesome that b dubia was humongous compared to a large cricket I'm hoping to start a colony or have it established 6 to 8 months from now so I can have feeders for my three leopard geckos without having to go to the store every two weeks.

  • I have two leopard geckos One is named Spot, Other is Cocoa. They live together and eat Crickets and Superworms. Spot and Cocoa are both female and They are very cute! 

  • Nom Nom Nom...

  • that roach wont die

  • woh that things huge. Where did that roach from?

  • i think that roach was too big

  • @mikaboom123 you can think all you want :) it isnt to big at all

  • @TedWinni ok

  • can bearded dragons eat those because id hate to have another beardie funeral and in case your wondering she was born pnamonia

  • that's one huge roach :O!!!!

    ...and a beautiful gecko ;D

  • thats nasty you can hear it crunch!

  • can leos eat lobster roaches?? Nd wha morph is your gecko??

  • wrong real sand is square quick sand is round particulex that s ehy it gives the effect that its pulling you in.

  • Nice gecko, he looks very healty.

  • my geco is about a year , had her for 7 month now , i changed her tank to sand an now she wont eat , or poop...im think shes swallowd sand and is now impacted. i have now tiles in her tank

  • @iamcairnsy yea i had mine on sand for like 2 months and now she is pooping all of the sand out, i dont know if that is good or bad, but she is pooping all of the sand that she ate out

  • @comanderkuddles its good and bad

Good that she is able to pass sand

Bad that it has eatin sand

get some reptile carpet or even paper towels(not eyecandy but do job) do the trick

  • @TedWinni i had my dad take me to get reptile carpet as soon as i saw her eat it, i am not findng the sand in her stool anymore but now the urate is either as big as, bigger, or over half the size of the stool and i am worried

  • @comanderkuddles take her to a herp

  • im suming up that vid...that yea was one bad ass roach and one super bad ass lepard geko for eating that fat roach nom nom crunchy =D

  • *CRUNCH*

  • Hey uh, just be careful about the whole feeding in cage thing with the substrate you have, you wouldnt want your animal to get sick of (I hate this word too) impaction. Or atleast dont make it a habit you know? Ive been trying to find places where they sell dubias lol, but cant seem to find any >.> that and theyre different from crickets, now that I think about it I dont think I would be able to handle it since its a roach for god sakes <.< I forget

  • what was that noise at 0:47

  • dubias are some of the best food you can get for ya lizards, i think im gonna grab a starter colony from ebay.

  • that roach was HUGEEE

  • just in case u dont know, dont use sand not even calciam sand

  • @iRJoanne im about to get leopard gecko what should i use cuz i was gunna use sand!

  • @lemonlade u can use reptile carpet or if u want to give ur gecko moisture give it cocanut fiber

  • @lemonlade actually, the best is plain old paper towels. The repticarpet can actually rip off your lil gecko's toenails (just saw this today actually! ouch) and the coconut fibers can get caught in their mouth's while they eat. Sand of anykind can be bad if the leo eats it (never use sand for babies!). Out of those, though, since they're more eye-pleasing that papertowels, I'd use the carpet. Just keep an eye on the feet!

  • @lemonlade reptile carpet!!!! :)

some people say that they get toes and mouths stuck on the carpet but thats not true! dont listen!!!! its cheap and cleaning is just hosing it off.

  • @OMGoITSoHANNAH Actually, my gecko missed her cricket once and bit into the reptile carpet and her little teeth got stuck to it so I had to nudge her head away from it. Toes? Well she doesn't move enough to determine that, but nothing regarding toes has happened.

  • @Shithra get the eco carpet i have it and my leo has never had a problem, i think it is safer than normal reptile carpet but idk

  • NOM NOM NOM!

  • how long did it take for him/her to eat the roach

  • instead of feeling bad for the roach i feel bad for the gecko for eating that nasty roach.

  • Haha I love how the thing is like crunch crunch

  • got my Beardie and Leopard gecko in the same Enclosure, theyre fine together infact they cant be without eachother, i used sand (Calci sand, normal sand) and with both of my reptiles i've never had a problem, Never. i also work with Alot of reptiles as my job, i always use sand, so if you want to use sand go for it. :)

  • I was like wtf when the roach was getting eaten and it looked at the camera like "help me!"

  • is feeding them roaches good

  • @geniousdeeson check out our page and find out

  • man every bodies crying about how there lizes get sick cause the sand. ive had my leos in sand for seven years and it NEVER HAPPEND TO ME AT ALL EVER....................................................SO PLESE SHUT UP o and dont take this personally :)

  • just wait a little longer and will see who s crying then. nothing personal :)

  • @2013091 whatever

  • My leo got impacted and nearly died from eating a cricket that was too big for it.. the huge roach isn't really a cool idea. Also everyone's right about the sand as well.

My only advice is, if it does get impacted, which seems likely to happen, give it warm water baths a couple times a day for about 10 mins each.

  • that size roach is too big for him to eat regularly

  • im thinking about ordering my bearded dragon some dubia's but my mom would lose her mind if one managed to escape

  • @ccwe23 Even if one was to escape, it wouldn't breed. They are a tropical species. Unless your house is constantly 95 degrees and extremely humid, you'll have no problem.

  • That gecko is powerful! It looks almost exactly like mine

  • Wow, that gecko is crazy! Hehe i couldn't eat a roach if it depended on my life, but then again i like my life lolz!

  • he looks the same as my leopard gecko

  • My male leo looks exactly like yours. I wanna feed him pinkeys but my mom gets pissy when is mention it...

  • @blondie1490 Well I guess ur mom is like mine, she wants things to live and not suffer.

  • @blondie1490 pinkeys are only good for them as a treat or if it is a female needing weight after breeding

  • @blondie1490 so dont tell her

  • @blondie1490

    same.

  • @blondie1490 I wouldn't feed pinkies to a Leopard Gecko, they're all fat and very little nutrients for this species.

  • @blondie1490 lol mine too, but i need to on rare occations for my breeders so its a dont ask dont tell policy now XD

  • @blondie1490 Lol ur mom is right... pinkies were never in leopard gecko's diets. I undersstand if its beardies but for gecko you should just feed waxworms or silkworms. Because pinkies are full of calcium and fat same with waxworms or silkworms

  • @aznsin2223 Beardies also shouldn't be having pinkies, they lack the proper system to break down the calcium in the bones of the pinkies. Leopard geckos should also only be having waxies or silks as treats because they are all fat. Stick with mealworms, dubias, and crickets for staple foods.
