  • I am trough your first two videos. I realized that one really need much time to get into the right rhythm of Joe Pass way of playing.

  • how do you get so good at transcribing? I would kill to be able to figure something like that out

  • i'm not that good really, i just have a lot of patience! the best thing to do is start with simple stuff, and first listen to what you want to transcribe a lot so you get it in your head. then put your headphones on and go note for note. also the more you get acquainted with the way an artist plays the easier it is to transcribe their stuff. i've studied joe pass from books for some time now and now it is easier for me to predict the fingerings/inversions/melodies he would use. hope this helps!
