It's weird that people say how happy this song makes them feel. It's about murder or suicide and the preservation of innocence. Although it is very deceptive because the music is very chill but the subject matter is very intense.

He's imagining going home and seeing his own four year old daughter... he wants to protect her from what he's seen. He doesn't want her to know that these sorts of things happen. Not yet, anyway. Not when she's only four.
