Damn, even though I'm 17, I want to bring back disco because it's a form of soul music and I think I have soul and i love disco. I don't understand why it ever went away. I will bring back disco. Once i get some more dj sets down, I will drop lots of disco down. Look out for a guy named Frank Furillo. that's me.
I have to agree with @njpir... I would be at the loft from 'round 5am to 1pm sunday, or az long az David played. Then wash up & head to Washington Square Park fo our "after party" loved it !!!!!
Back in the day ,back in the day ! Working the dance floor in pumps from a vintage store in the village and a funky vintage outfit from unique clothing warehouse. Hair snatched back with cat eye glasses in place . WORK IT LARRY, WORK IT !!!!!!!!
6 AM and people are trying to go home and then Larry would throw on this. No vocals just a deep bass line that sounded like this: aduda aduda aduda aduda aduda aduda aduda aduda and EVERYONE who was trying to leave would run back to the floor for one more dance! BREATHLESS!!
@57dms I agree with the second part, but I beg to differ with the first: honey, at 6 AM NOBODY was trying to leave the Garage, NOBODY. Hell, I never even liked to arrive much earlier than 5. OK, at TEN there might've been somewhat of an exodus, but Larry's True Disciples all looked disdainfully at even those people. As long as that High Priest of Disco was at the turntables, I was ON the dance floor. Ah, the memories...:-)
@njplr Niggers wouldn't leave the Garage until those bouncers would start throwing people out. I remember they started throwing us out around 8 Am Sunday morning. That was not the norm though, I'm sure. I liked the loft because ther was plenty of room to dance at that time of the morning and the parties would last until about 11 or 12 in the afternoon Sunday. The lastest I left was about a quarter to noon. LOL!
Anyone know where can I buy this version? I've been scouring the internet for it.
