I've been a fan of Bright Eyes for 7 years. I don't think this is THAT different, Conor's voice is so distinctive to me. I'm glad some other people are singing a bit, b/c I hate to say it but that is what ruins Bright Eyes and other Oberst projects for many people. I love his voices raw emotion and vulnerability and admire that he sings his words rather than selling out but I have to be honest. His words are amazing, his vision and instrumentals can't be beat but vocally there are better artists

its good, not the best lyrically though. i'd say train underwater is pretty amazing. but i think anything by conor is genius. he fails to dissapoint. :)

its cool though that he lets the other guys have some songs. I'm sure he knew that people want to hear him mostly but he wanted his friends to get some some exposure which is pretty cool

they had the album up on the site for a few days. i take it conor could care less about album leaks, they are all pretty much available online but i end up buying the vinyl edition all the time

Phenomenal! When he played this live, he substituted the word "napkin" for "tablet" when he says "he drew his face on a tablet."

I think half the value of his music is seeing him live - his alterations of the songs give you a different insight into their significance.

Thank you so much for posting this, I think he's done a great job with this project. I listen to their first CD all the time.
