@HerryGrailVideos I too am a big fan of Barry Atwater, he was a tremendous character actor, but am also disturbed by his sudden change in appearance. I noticed something very curious whilst watching the Mission Impossible episode 'Elena' today in which Atwater features, his nose visibly alters during a scene very noticeably. I can't for a second believe he got elective surgery during the making of a show, I think the poor man's nose collapsed due to acromegaly.
@groovysherrie65 He took extremely high doses of steroids early in his career and is believed to have suffered from acromegaly, which is a pituitary condition that causes muscular and skeletal changes to the face, hands and feet in addition to lots of other nasty stuff. Atwater began resembling an ape in his middle yrs and and had extensive plastic surgery to hide the effects. He suffered from a number of other health problems as well. These photos show the overgrowth of his brow ridge
