That sounds absolutely horrible. I'm so glad I saw this demo before parting with my cash - I was just about to buy it. I heard the acoustic demo too and it also sounded terrible.
Doesn't really hold the character and variance of a guitar, but it's good software. In a mix as backing it's perfect. As a lead, not so much, but it can still be used, granted you're not trying to pass it off as an electric guitar. But it's an excellent sound tool. AA is great with physical modelling and as technology and processing power advances...maybe in the next 10 years, or maybe even 5, we'll have modelled gtrs that sound and behave like the real deal. Thanks AA!
If I have one instance open in the host program, can I assign different guitar sounds to the midi channels so that I won't have to open more than one instance?
This is a bit awkward. I mean String Studio is a synth which sounds somewhere like real strings but you can tweak it in a way that realistic string sound will fade into a very harsh electronic buzz and that is the best part about it it sounds like nothing else, you can create really mad sonic patterns with it But here we see a guitar simulation which is daring as it sounds. For me it felt wrong playing a guitar with a keyboard it's like cheating on yourself But still, AAS's technology is amazing
I liked the AAS physical modeling instruments ever since I first heard their Lounge Lizard. The newer Strum instruments are an interesting option for those who can't and don't play a real guitar when working on stuff. Keep on modeling, folks!

Ёпт.. надо ж жирный death metal демонстрировать и какое-нить мягкое экспрессивное соло, а то показали то, чего в природе не бывает.

Sounds good you just have to tweak the
sound you want or you looking for.

Pretty awesome stuff instrument. Forget the internal FX though, throw it through Waves or GuitarRig.
Lounge Lizard is stunning too.

I'm not sure what alternatives sound like, but the sounds it's using sound like crap. Certainly not professional sounding.

i don't like this chord key and strum key setting. can i just set this as i like?.. :(

@Xana6637
Of course. There is a section for strumming, including turning it off, and adjusting the parameters of it.

I Demoed this with some amp sims.
I got some great high gain tones with it , but
when I release the key the note still sounds. Some times this npose is a harmonic , some times its a clunk.
If I get this resolved , I,'ll buy it.
I already own string studio.

I think its beacuse of reverb, try to it down with the Reverb knob.
