  • I have to play that a lot faster. First i start out like that then go three times faster. My band director expects alot.

  • Is this really 6th grade? They look big for 6th. But they sound great! I'm guessing they rehearse daily for at least 40 minutes.

  • WOW, that wasss topped my 6th grade band concert! and we thought "adventure overature" was challenging?? glad i'm in 8th now and the 7th & 8th band are great!!

  • Well. That blew my MIDDLE school out of the water. And they like threw a bass player in and played Smoke on the Water epically...

  • holy crap..

    that was good

    xD

  • WOOT!! this is awsome for the grade lvl!! i couldn't even play this in grade 7, though, in grade 8 i was top of my school at oboe bassoon and flute..... yesh, imma band geek, but AWSOME JOB!!!

  • i played this in 6th too!!

i love it, probably one of my favorites that i've ever played

  • this sound really great!

  • i played this last year for my 6th grade band, but the concert got cancelled. we didnt sound good though...lol. i wish we could play it this year tho...:)

  • That was awseome! lol so funny.

  • cool ending

  • the best rendition of the "merry go round gone broke down" ive heard in ages.

  • is it all girls band

  • i love the percussion so energetic!

  • nice!, you guys sound better than my schools eith grade band doing this! I lie it with the optional tag though

  • We did this in 3rd grade!!

  • Cool. My Gr 8 Band Isnt that good with the song. Thats really cool. :)

  • its ok but we are better phoenix new york 6th grade band

  • My mom told me the only thing that could have made this better is if someone dressed in a Bugs Bunny costume ran on stage and threw off the lady conducting the band and began conducting the song himself lol.

  • LOL...that would have been cool! However, imo the only other thing that would have improved it would have been Carl Stalling's original 1938-1945 jazzy interlude of "duh-da-duh/duh-da-duh/da-duh-duh-duddyuddyud-a-duh" on the flutes/pipes/what have you (right before the ending leading into the cartoon) being included. (Unfortunately hard to describe in keyboard, lol)

Still, more of a critique of the arrangement than the performance, which is quite good; must have been fun for the musicians.

  • The audiance really enjoyed it too it seems.

  • lol

  • Was that a kid screaming near the end? That reminds me of a band concert I had. A baby sobbed when we (the band including me) paused.

  • Heeheehee...obviously that was a compliment, as the baby was enjoying the music. If the scream occured during the performance, that would have been a bad sign.

  • That wasn't a kid screaming at the end! That was the procussin! Trust me, I would know my band plays this.

  • I think you mean PERCUSSION, not procussin.

  • yes i know, who cares! haha. =)

  • i care

    lol not really :P

  • lol. i am not really the best speller.

but anyways, i love this song.

    i played it!! =)

  • That's all folks!!!

  • not bad for little kids

  • Pretty damn good, especially for kids.

  • That's Actually Merries Melodies theme which is Merry Go Round Broke Down

  • Merrie Melodies' theme song is "Merrily We Roll Along", while Looney Tunes' is actually "the Merry Go Round Broke Down." Both themes are played in this video.

  • thats rilly good

  • Brilliant.

  • For once, an elementary school band/choir actually plays something WORTHWHILE for a change!

  • I recall going to my brother's choir concerts when I was younger, and they sang all Disney songs. It was kind of lame to begin with, and got old in a real hurry.

  • CLASSY!!!
