@Bra23we12 I'm going to wait longer than that. First, to let Ubisoft expand the series, just as IL 2 expanded to the '46 version. Also, many mods will be done by then & the bugs worked out. And, as you said, what was once super-computer territory becomes everyday average desktop. I'm still not the slightest bit bored with my IL 2 Sturmovik 1946 game, all being played smoothly on my lowly eMachines desk top. Look forward to the future though.

The people who post them seem to want to tell a story....and the end credits aknowledge the use of post production processing. It all makes me think they're using the game, in edits, to produce videos that appeal to flight sim fans.

@TheZero4life The Americans hadn't entered the war yet in 1940. If there are ever any later expansions which extend the western front into 1943-45, you can surely expect there to be American planes. If you must have American planes, and can't make do with flying British, German, or Italian planes in CoD, then the old game Il-2 1946 is your ultimate best bet. However, if it's realism you are after, CoD is superior to the old game.

Since then they still tell me nothing has improved which is sad because IL-2 was a good game and had my hopes this one would be ten times better in new engine graphics and big multiplayer. Cliffs of Dover has great (but unrealised) potential. Have been playing for a month now and love the aircraft flight and damage models and effects. But multiplayer requires small fake maps (not Britain), the campaign is laughable, the sounds and clouds are placeholders and there is really not very much to do in the game, yet.

@warmonger735 really? i'm running on a 7400Go on my laptop and i had no bugs/glitches/lag...i recommend downloading the mod at All Aircraft Simulations since it gives you more flyable planes and such, as well as alot of fixes. and by more flyable planes, i mean you'll have so many, you won't know where to begin. also, watch out for the Canvas Knights project, they're making an addon/conversion for WW1 aircraft too!
