hey i know you said it's old, so im not too critical or anything. The drum solo didn't really feel like a solo, kind of just like you strung a bunch or rolls and stuff together. A solo kind of has a unifying feel to it, I know you know that though. The band overall is great, but the drum solo feels a little out of place. No worries though, you guys rock.

like these guys said, it's pretty common. i play cross handed (normal) most of the time. but i'll switch to open hand to get access to the toms and stuff if need be. i've played in 2 with open handed drummers. it's really very common. and, it opens up a lot of options around the kit. both styles have pros and cons. that's why i'm working on being proficient with both.
