Follow the link in the description, the schematic as well as all the info I have on the circuit is there. Read every page and go to every link on that site. good luck with your project!!!
you answered your own question. I did the same thing and followed the circuit blindly and it didn't work. Look at the link posted in the info for my fix. You should trace it out yourself though.
Hi, I am also having problems getting the HM2007 to even turn on the READY LED. I order the parts from the imagesco website so why wouldn't their schematic for the RAM work? I did think it was strange that the address lines don't match but I just followed the diagram blindly. Could that be the problem? Why won't the chip just turn on the LED since the WAIT pin is set to High and therefore shouldn't even go through the RAM checking process? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
@mois231 Yea, it was tough to mess with on the breadboard. Eventually, once I rewired the circuit (made the address lines of the speech chip match the address lines of the RAM) I designed a PCB in EagleCAD for the final presentation.
Hey I'm hoping you still have those schematics. I'm working on a similar project and was having problems with the circuit. It's almost completely non-responsive. I followed the datasheet schematic.
@samkhan88 I had a similar problem at first. You can't look at the schematic directly, you gotta check the RAM chip connections. On the blog I go into detail explaining the problem I had and made a note on the schematic. All the info I have is there. Also, I had some problems with bad chips. I had a bad RAM chip at one point, then I had a bad HM2007 at another point. It was very frustrating. Again check out the blog for all the details. I hope this helps! Link is in the comments.
@adamprojectbloc thanks a million! I must've missed the schematic note when I visited the blog. I'm gonna try that now. A new RAM chip should'nt be a problem. Though I really do hope I don't have a bad HM chip. Ordering it again would be a pain. Thanks again.

I think it would be better if he would use a PCB..
