i think that the back meaning to this story is kinda related to how people try to get rich quick or something. they try to follow plans they think will gaurantee success by fishing in a small and limited pool. the attempts yield a boot worth nothing, an actual "bite" which is hollow, and eventually, such greedy behavior finds him the devil, or his ultimate downfall. =))

actually, I can't work out if it is Jacques van Rhijn or not, he is the clarinet player in the band.

But in this video the clarinet player looks a lot like Stephen Coates who is the main member of The Real Tuesday Weld, in fact the man at 2:50-2:51 is sure to be Stephen Coates.

Maybe Jacques couldn't make the shoot?
