I saw fates warning at Dallas City Limits in 1990.I got as close as i could to the side of the stage just so I could watch Mark play.Man..what i would do to play like that...he's great.I have always admired drummers with technical ability over speed any day. My ears rang for 3 days after that show!!

I was lucky to see him play with Fates Warning in San Antonio, Tx. at the Showcase in 1992!

i wasn't really down with the other songs but i like the sound of this.
drums are tasty too... the guy looks old. he must have a shit load of experience with bands.

Mark Zonder is if not the best rock/metal drummer of all time, he's certainly in the top two or three! I've been studying this guy since 1989 and there's still stuff of his I can't touch! I can play most any Rush (played in a Rush tribute band) and I can play Portnoy's drivel but trying to pull off Mark's wonderful style and licks is another level, I assure you.

Love this cam angle. Mark is one of my favorite drummers - seeing his technique from this vantage is useful...and inspiring.
Can't wait for next Slavior disc.

It's a damn shame that Slavior is about the only thing we can get these days. It's an absolute CRIME that he won't be playing with Fates Warning anymore! Frankly, it makes me ill. A crime, I tell ya!
