I don't know if this works or not, but she wasn't wearing any makeup in the "before" shots, and the lighting is different. In the "after" she is wearing heavy black eye liner and what looks like a ton of concealer. Also the lighting is brighter, and straight on her face. We also don't see any closeups, plus - she didn't look so bad to begin with, just a little tired. Hmmmm.....
