  • panasonic tvs have game mode which basically moves the image on the screen rapidly around... so fast the human eye cant detect it without making a differance in the quality of the image so that burn in cannot happen EVER...

i dont know if other tv's have the same feature for there game mode... or if they just change brightness and stuff.

  • low ass volume!

  • Thanks for stating the freaking obvious.

Yet another useless video from Expert Village.

  • sceen burn is old tech, stop faffing about SB people.

  • This was NOT what I was looking for.

  • on mine i have the prototype map and health bar on mine. .. it pisses me off.. >:(

  • @UpgradeMclaClan it sucks. i have screen burn from the mw2 map, score, ammo and equipment

  • @TheMightyMuMbY FUUCK, I Have a Burn in from my PS3 Friends List :[ DAMN?! Have you found a fix?

  • @DistincTHD no tbh i dont think there is a fix, the people who sold me my tv said plasma is the best for playing games and tv's are so high tech now they dont get screen burn that wa with old gen tv's. what lieing gits. lucky i didnt beleve them completely and bought 5 year of insurance so evertime i get screen burn i get a new tv

  • alright. this may sound really freaking weird but i have really bad tv screen burns on my flatscreen LCD tv. and thats not supposed to happen on LCD. i need some help. since its not supposed to happen on LCD i have no white wash features. the screen burn started when we got the netflix cd for my PS3. somebody left it on and the whole image is burned in. although you can still see through it, it is a big pain in the ass... if you have any suggestions please reply. i need your help... thanks.

  • @suppachrisholland omg dude that is exactly what happened to my 50 inch plasma tv! i bought it monday. the netflix cd came in the mail. so i but it in my ps3. when the thing said that needed to get the cod from the internet, i left the netflix on the screen for 5 minutes!! now when i turned the ps3 off, i see the netflix logo on my screen... wtf!!

  • @welldone4 5 minutes??

  • @suppachrisholland i completely got rid of the burn in though. the trick i did was i turned on the contrast and the brightness level all the way to the max, then i put a video game in and let it run in demonstration mode for 20 minutes. what do ya know, my screen was burn in free lol

  • i can see my right action bar of world of warcraft the burn in apears on white like a internet page

  • im killing my plasma tv with fucking computer game if u want to use your hd tv as a pc screen dont buy a fucking plasma

  • i just recentley hooked up my xbox 360 to my Pioneer Plasma Screen, I play Gta 4 at regular intervals, and there is a map and icons located all around the edge of the screen, they are fixed. I just recently noticed a minor burn in on the TV around the edges, just wondering how long should i turn off the Tv before the image burns in and and how long can i have tv turned off for????? pls respond as soon as possible.

  • same thing happened to me, i got a pioneer elite and i played cod 5 on it and the map and xp bar burned in on it

  • The cool thing i just recently noticed is after there is a burn in. Turn back to normal television, and the burn in should;d start to disappear, i think the latest model Pioneer Plasma Screens (which i think i've got and maybe you have too) lose their burn in after actively watching TV. Try that, it might work

  • how did you fix it?

  • After there is a burn in on your plasma (latest model Pioneer Plasma Screens, i think) actively watch some TV, and after a while my burn-in started to disappear!

  • Yeah I kinda figured that,I have a Vizio by the way...I guess Plasma's can't be perfect..Thanks though.

  • watch some full screen tv without channel 'dogs' in the corners of course. might take a while if your tele has some major burn, but it eventually melts away.

  • hmmm, I've had my philips 50'' and vizio 42" each for over 2 years and play my ps3 and xbox 360 on them constantly and have never had image burn. I think it was on the old school plasmas or supm...

  • I have an emerson 32' and after 4 months of use i got a black in or like a dark bar on the bottom part of my screen and i heard you can get rid of it by changing it to a black and white channel but my tv doesnt do that!!

Any way i can fix this shit?!!?

  • I dont know if u fu=ixed it or not, but most tvs have a reverse or an all white option (on my tv it is in the set up menu) on th e reverse option it changes the color of the image to its opposite and then the black part will be white and remove the black in. the white option turns my entire screen white and it burns out minor ones but i dont have ne problems with my tv had it for 3 years now and still love its picture and everything about it.

  • Well # 1. i hate obama too and # 2. my t.v doesnt have that option :( so im pretty much fucked dude!

  • then get a video that is just pure white and run it.

  • Like how?

  • do u have a cable to show the computer screen on the television? use windows movie maker. Just start a project and do what u do to add text, just dont write anything and make the background white. if u dont have the cable u could try to burn it to a dvd.

  • what are you talking about? u talk like a pre schooler

  • sorry bro, but you really need to speak louder.

  • leave your tv out of signal on that white and black snowy screen for a while and that should get rid of it,

only sayin what people have told me, good luck

  • you could add this to your vid to help people,if you do get any light burns leave your tv put it out of signal on a snowy picture for a while and they will be gone.

  • how long is a while like 20 min??

  • usually 5min will do it but it won`t hurt if you leave it on too long

  • LCD's are Cheep And they last.

  • plasmas are cheaper, and they last longer

  • Ha,

Your funny I went thru 3 Plasmas in 5 months.

When I got the sony It lasted 2 years.

  • im talking about average life of the tv in hours...not the build quality...you prolly shouldnt have cheaped out on the plasmas

  • I know $6,000 is not an expensive plasma TV.

  • u cant be talking in american dollars, becuase the only tv to cost that much is Pioneer Kuro....and i doubt you had the best tv on the market

  • Well what was the price of a 65" Plasma in 1999?

    6 Grand Ea.

  • im having a hard time believing there was a 65 inh plasma in 1999...i knew 50inches were as big as they came for a while but was not aware of a 65ich plasma at that time....you wouldnt happen to know the make or model?

  • All I know is that I got it at guitar center for photo editing.

Some brand that starts with a S.

  • Even though the contrast ratio seems to be better in Plasma, Id rather not to take any risks if I happen to leave my TV unattended by accident...and have a "glorious" burned-in image forever...I honestly recommend going LCD...I bought a Sony Bravia, its Bravia Engine 2 chipset does wonders in color reproduction and compensates pretty well contrast...well, just wanted to share my opinion, it's your own call after all! :-)

  • Lcd's are better.
