BSG has that one quality that few other shows have, a deep compelling human conflict that questions nearly every aspect of what it means to be human while managing to carry on an overarching story line and still be entertaining with memorable characters that draw the viewer into their conflicts, and for everyone else, robots and explosions.

Do you people not understand that that BSG really can only last 4 seasons anyway. It has a story that has to end, otherwise it just turns into badly written shit where they just keep making it up as they go along. It's a fantastic series, but they may as well finish it, then start a whole new Sci-Fi series that people are gonna love.

I actually DO understand having worked in both the music and the motion picture industry within North America and the UK. Speaking in general terms UK shows run for longer with less of a budget, Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, etc. Despite your assertion that a story has to end or it turns in to badly written shit ... Sci Fi didnt cancel.. Ron Moore and David Eick decided to end it after season 4 so they could end it like they wanted and not have a mid season kill off. All the latest news and RDM's Blog say that..
