  • @hardtemper This is not a political channel, it is for friends and whoever wants to hear Dedo Risto's gajda to hear his playing. Dedo Risto only believes in two kinds of people, good people, and bad people and I know he doesn't want political arguments on his channel. If the whole world were musicians, there would not be so many wars. Mnogu zdrave od Avstralija.

  • He should issue a CD, really :)

  • Good suggestion! I put it to Risto that we make a DVD of his tunes and he liked the idea.

  • @vasili33 Such power !!!! Amazing !!!

  • Really excellent. Thank you Vasili, bravo to Risto. Very interesting for me the "Pajgajne Dusko" We have the same dance and call it "Bainduska", I didn't know why. Best regards.Vasilis Greece

  • The magic of Pajduska is that it is played and danced all over the Southern Balkan, from Greece to Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia and even Albania. Great.

  • super samo veselo dasimi ziv i zdrav samo veselo Makedonci Ve sakam kade i da ste pozdrav Trisoski Alekso Kicevo

  • WOW..awesome..

    his so good at playing.

    :D

  • This man Risto taught my old man Todor Krajovski to play the gajda around 30 plus years ago he is a real deal, My dad has since past away but when i here a gajda at a wedding or party's i get goose bumps and i get so happy i won't to dance well done post more of him (Riste) here well catch up soon with him

  • I passed your compliments to Risto on the phone yesteday - he looks forward to seeing you again in Melbourne. Working on some more video's ;)

  • put some more up, you or risto

  • Thank you i've enjoyed this very much

  • Se slusa a i se gleda koj znae da sviri na gajda. Ovoj Makedonec skviri gajda da taka receme silno bez greski i tonovite se cisti i jasni kako sto sviri i avstralianceto Corydale. Znaci nema makedonec sto ovaa gajada ne go kopa!

  • Translation: It can be seen and heard whom can play gajda. This Macedonian plays gajda - yes - with great power, without mistakes, and the tones are clean and understood - like the Australian Cory Dale. There is no Macedonian whom this gajda would not "dig"! [as in dig up old wounds, nostalgia, and proudness in being Macedonian].

  • Is the chanter really placed in the mouth of the goat? I've never seen that on any other bagpipe, though the Slovakian gajdy and I think some other Eastern European pipes have carved wooden goat horns above the chanter.

  • Beautiful playing and I like your comments. Are those zurlas on the table behind him?

  • Yes - good spotting ;) Risto knows how to make zurla, tapan, and 3 varieties of gajda - though his main instrument to play is clarinet

  • What? Really?! I thought this was the finest gaida playing that I've ever heard! A fine musician! I'm another Risti whose main instrument is the clarinet but I play no gajda:P I do play zurla though! But this guy is awsome!

  • Благодарам - will pass your compliments to Risto. Please post a video of you playing zurla! Do you have another player who can drone for you? :)

  • opaaaaaaa !!!!!!!

    srce da ti zaigra !

    prekrasno nemam drugi zborovi!!!!

blagodarnost na vasili33 sto go postavil na youtube.

  • Above message is: Opaaa! For your heart to dance (without having to try)! Wonderful, there are no other words! Thanks for posting. /// Blagodaram za komplimento i ke mu go prestavam na Risto ;)

  • od makedonski instrument nema po ubavo muzice . da si zdrav i ziv starec, kako sto ja tegnis gajduleto da ti e alav! bravo!

  • Its great to see that other countries in Europe still play their bagpipes beside the Scots, Irish, Bretons, and Spanish. This bagpipe sound intresting, as its so different to the Highland Bagpipes which I play. Thanks for posting the video :)

  • Bravo!Compliment!!!

    ;)

  • 3 melodies on gajda with 2 drones, made/played by Risto Todoroski of Ohrid, Macedonia, living in Sydney. 1st Pajduško oro, Slavonic for "drunken dance", widely known to communities in Macedonia, Thrace etc who all call it by the Slavonic name: Baidouska (Greek), Pajdusca (Aromanian), Payduşka (Turkish). 2nd (3:10) Marica/Maritsa. 3rd (4:38) Osogovka (2+2+3+2+2), very old dance. Enjoy and please no hateful comments, MK's rich communities shared in the past, pity about 20thC nationalism...

  • Pajgajne = falling

    Dusko = mans name =re dusa = sol,spirit

in this scence "pajdusko" is considered to be an old nickname given to someone that is clumsiy constatly falling for no reason.

e.g sleepy , doopy , twinkle towes OR AS YOU MENTIONED VAS THE DRUNKEN DANCE

IF YOU NOTE WHEN YOU ARE PLASTERED SOME TIMES YOU TEND TO TRY AND WALK FASTER THAN YOU CAN TO THE POINT YOU GET YOUR SELF INTO A LITTLE QUICK STEP RUN AND SUDDEN STOP AND GO AND WOOOOOOOOO PAJDUSKO , THE FALLING SOL

  • excellent, thanks for this
