Makes me feel like jumping on a tank while riding a horse, piloting a plane while my dad cant gun for shit, cutting down a bridge while dangling on to the supports and backseat driving a truck while a Nazi is beating the crap at me. :D
I swear, why do all you "Indy Fans" Insist on casting out the 4th movie. Just give up. You are a bunch of haters that didn't like the 4th movie and you think "Man the original was so awesome. I'm gonna be a film hipster. Indy 4 sux"
I've been seeing all the films since I was 7. I remember the action, suspense, all those daring escapes and cliffhangers. Indy 4 was like that. It was far fetched as the last three but, that's what makes it brilliant.
@NewPhoenixFilms What made the original trilogy so great was the human touch in it. all the stunts, the action and effects were hand made... no CGI and there for nothing too eccentric and annoying. just like you see in universal studios park (in the Indiana Jones show). that is one of the things the 4th movie lacks and sucks cause of. For me, Indiana Jones is a childhood hero and seeing him driving a computer graphic armored vehicle while being assisted by a horde of monkeys is just not that.
I will always be a fan of Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford is the best actor to play Indy and no one else can replace him. It's not like James Bond. If Indy had to be played by someone else than Ford, it wouldn't be the same and we know it very well.
@astonmartinv12s There was nothing wrong with "Kingdom". The point of this whole series is to not take them that seriously. Are aliens anymore believable then a thousand-year-old knight or magic rocks? Is nuking a fridge sillier than his dad using birds to bring down an airplane. "Kingdom" had everything it needed to be a great addition. I'm sick of everyone crying about how Lucas and Spielberg destroyed their childhoods. Just be happy they made another one and I can't wait for Indy 5!
@GomJabber11 It just more feels like Lucas just trying to strap on something star wars related to ANYTHING and hoping it to be a success, even before this was in theaters and I only heard about it, I bet my friends it was going to have aliens in since it was directed by Lucas, and lo and behold it did, it just seems like Lucas wants to change things to a more star wars-esque movie hoping it will catch on more.
@nawgui Well, Lucas only produced it. He didn't direct it. He did, however, come up with the alien idea for the movie. But he was just trying to do a tribute to the sci-fi films of the 50s (Earth vs the Flying Sausers, This Island Earth, etc.) kinda like the first 3 were tributes to 1930s serials. I won't defend Lucas because I believe his main intent with the movie was to just make more money from an old francise, but I am glad they went ahead and made it. Thanks for responding.
@GomJabber11 What I don't understand is why Lucas couldn't just come up with a different character and series as a tribute, and actually listened to Speilberg about the crappiness of his idea.
I think that most people watched the indiana jones trilogy at a very young age. 20 years later these movies are cult. They used the same scheme in the forth movie than in those before, (clever) dialogs, fast action (there is a chase in every movie) some ancient mythologie and some riddles. Seems like people lost a bit of their inner child and cannot enjoy a movie that is in its basics the same it was 20 years ago.
@astonmartinv12s yeah, in my mind the 4th movie never happened lol I just block it out. I want to remember them riding off into the sunset.... that's how it all ends in my mind :)

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sucked. It was nothing like the originals and had the cheesiest ending ever. I hated the fact that Spielberg just had to include aliens into the indiana jones theme. Bleh.
I like the part in Indiana Jones 4 where indy goes into the town, find out everyone is plastic, and then realizes hes gonna get blasted. He just like hides in the fridge, I think thats just awesome.
I love the first one and the fourth one. I love the dad in the first one and it was magnificent to see a new indiana jones with the same indiana jones guy.
there was a part in Indiana Jones 4 when Indy was stuck in a quicksand, or sth like that, and he asked Shia LaBeouf to go and get a rope to pull him out but Shia LaBeouf came back with a snake and threw it to him. Indy refused to grab it, cos he's afraid of snakes. He kept asking Shia to get sth else but Shia was like "There's nth else! Just grab the stupid snake!" Indy closed his eyes cowardly and grabbed it like a girl grabbing a snake, or worse! love that scene
spacifically he told them to say "grab the rope" and they were like WHY? then they said it and he grabbed on. That was a spacific part for me to remember caz in the very biginning of the first one, as a kid, he calmly grabbed a snake off his friend say it was just a snake, but now he's afraid of them! i dont' get it
The scene you remember is from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", which is the *third* (not the first) Indiana Jones movie. Minutes later in the same movie, when he is running away from a thief in a circus train, he falls into a vat full of snakes, and that's why he is afraid of snakes.
? The first one, he's trying to get some cross from a dude and tells him it should be in a museum. Before he falls into the circus train hes with a friend and the friend is all scared and indy pulls the snake off. What do you mean it's the third one? What order are the Indiana Jones movie's in? I thought it was The Last Crusade then The Temple of Doom with the kid, then ... the one with the bolder. I am so helplessly comfused If thats the third one then why is he a kid?
The first Indiana Jones movie is Raiders of the Lost Ark (it came out in 1981), which you call "the one with the boulder". The second movie is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (it came out in 1984, but is set a year BEFORE the first movie, so it's a prequel). The third movie is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (it came out in 1989). It has a prequel part (where Indiana Jones is a kid) and the rest of the story is set AFTER Raiders, which makes it a sequel. It's a bit complicated :-)
