  • Deus.

  • his performance makes me speechless!

  • Very exciting!

  • I think that was the first time Sokolov played in Madrid: the whole auditorium was amazed: I was there!!

  • sokolov est devenu une poule, quelle miracle!!!!!!!!

  • I attended this performance in Madrid. It was miraculous from beginning to end - and in my opinion absolutely no one plays this particular repertoire as well as Sokolov does.

  • Fast becoming my favorite artist-this is music I would never come to make friends with if not for Sokolov-

  • @Bruce88keys I agree: tendentially I don't like French music, but with this pianist Rameau and Couperin become really delightful!

  • Sokolov, grand pianiste!

  • <3

  • Brilliant!! No words needed.

  • Incroyable pianiste !!!! J'adore!!!

  • Wonderful videos!

  • What a brilliance!

  • Amazing connection and representation of the style. Bravissimo!

  • Not as Chickenny as I wanted but superlative quality playing. He is a real discovery as a musician.

  • this must be the most annoying piece to have to rehearse. that one pecking key must get worn out.

  • Rameau ??? Mi sembrava Prokofeiff , o Bartok drogatodi di adrenalina fino allo stordimento !!! SIAMO NEL PERIODO BAROCCO FRANCESE, Sokolov !!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, Sokolov is the greatest musician of our time. Not only intellectually, but he knows how to channel warmth, tragedy, love, longing, playfulness and so forth in the most profound way, not to mention his fantastic technical ability, which is always in the service of music.

  • The greatest pianist of our time.

Sokolov is simply the wisest, the most intellectual musician of our time.

He knows how to extract all the conclussions, all the hidden meanings, all the gestures, mimics, symbols of a composition.

  • i really like his playing, it actually reminds me of chickens....hihihi...but i love his playing :)

  • @d3o1r0i3n1a989

Well, "La Poule" means The chicken.

  • @Brainstaticdance that's why i wrote: "it actually reminds me of chickens"! So in other words, Sokolov has done a great job cause it really did the effect that the piece was intended to!

  • karate.

even if this would be Prokofiev it would be to martial for me. and this is french baroque.

I am not sure which I should emphasize more : the fact that this is french, or the fact that this is galant baroque music.

  • @janvandoedelpuk french doesn't mean soft... at all.

  • Yes.... He is realy greatest pianist of our time!

  • @nittobbus So agree!

  • He is the greatest pianist of our time!

  • une poule qui chante et enchante !

  • He is so sick at the piano, such a big man taking full control of it, such discipline he seem to have also, I am in charge you little bastard piano. I love his playing really different.

  • @M3sslah

In interview with him, he actually says that he considers piano as partner, as important as he is.

  • A mA ZInG

  • un rameau de toute grandeur !

  • This is so amazing. Do you have more of his video recording? That would be such a pleasure for many of us!

  • @lwkjl

I have whole of this videoclip. It contains performances of Rameau, Beethoven and Brhams. these files will upload later.

  • @lemonaid1206
