First off i'd like to say that as i Live not far from where this happened that the cop was out of line it is supposed to be att a time of life endagerment or else last possible moment to pull they're weapon i think the the officer in questions should have faced repremand or charges for assualt 2 which is pulling a weapon without need his life was obviously not in danger he's abusing his badge

Having a snowball fight with your friends is not illegal. But if you are disrupting a public intersection or worse if you are throwing snowball at random cars/people, of course that is assault. Why would that not be illegal

In my opinion, the cop was right in the situation. The crowd there were obvious hazard to drivers and pedestrians. So what if he drew his gun? Those people just assaulted him. It doesn't matter if its with a snowball or whatever. Meh just my opinion

Every person in that crowd was in violation of the DC crimes code, Obstructing a Highway, Loitering in the commission of a crime, Throwing a projectile at a Vehicle, Simple Assault, and harrassment. Officer had every right to draw his weapon!

I totally understand where you are coming from. The facts are is that none of us were in that situation. I can say though by the "LETTER of the LAW" the officer was justified in drawing his weapon. I think people are just focusing on the fact this was just a snowball fight, but the real problem is these people made the driving conditions 10x's worse by throwing snowballs at vehicles and running to and from the street, creating a obstruction to the drivers of those vehicles.

The way I see it there's 50 people throwing snowballs at cars and people going about their business. Police get complaints and try to break crowd up, but he gets disrespectfully gets snowballed to the point where he feels threatened, so he draws his gun.
