  • @party267 Thank you! I never wash my hair in the sink unless I have no other option, because it's hard to keep it tangle free in the sink. When I used to go to a salon to get my hair trimmed, (I cut my own hair now), I would wash it before I left the house so it would't have to get all tangled in the bowl!

  • Jedgarsquink: I like the long teeth so it will go through my thick hair, I pretty much like the comb I used in the video-I'm not quite sure how far apart the teeth are-I will try to remember to measure it later. I do know that I like the teeth to be as smooth as possible and round-not flat in shape, and I like the ends to be smoothly rounded, not pointy. I definitely like the handle so my hand doesn't go through my hair. I usually only use my comb when my hair is wet. I hope this helps!

What length of teeth works best? Your comb appears to have pretty long ones.

What pitch, or spacing, of teeth do you like?

I see your comb has a handle, but some don't. What are your thoughts on pros and cons of having a handle?

Reason I'm asking all these detailed questions is that I'm considering making a few custom combs -- probably just as presents for ladies whose hair I admire.

    Would appreciate your thoughts.

  • I am interested in your thoughts on extra-coarse-toothed detangling combs like the one you used to comb the conditioner through the ends.

Do you use them on dry hair, or only wet, yourself? What do you think of using them on dry hair?

What about tooth shape? Should the teeth be fairly flat, as in finer-tooth combs, or round in section? Pointy at the ends, or more blunt?
