my bird died a year ago now and i miss her sooo much. had her as my 1st budgie when i was 7! still cry 4 her n love her. never seen the same budgie with the same colours as here. i found her dead....
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Napoleon looks just like my 8 1/2 year bird "Pinky" who died a few hours ago. I was with him when he passed away, he was my best friend I love him so much. This is the first pet I've lost and I'm totally devastated, the pain is unbearable. I don't know what to do, I guess there's really nothing I can do; I'm just thankful I had him and loved him for 8 1/2 years.
Im really sorry, I had a cockateil once before too, but i had to give him away because i moved, but i gave him to someone i know would have taken care of him and give him a great life!

Aww lovely video and a very sweet bird :) I remember my first cockatiel died on my bed when I was a kid and me and my family were in tears, horribly traumatizing moment it was! So I've tried to give my new bird the best life possible by letting him out every day, giving him loads of attention, and I'm pleased to say he's now 7 years old and couldn't be healthier!
Sure I'll miss him when he's gone, but I'll do my best not to be brought down. I'll remember the good times, and thank him for it :)

This reminds me of my tiel Jacques. He passed away in October but the worst part was I didn't hear about it till Thanksgiving because I was away at college and my family didn't want to tell me. I wish they told me when he got sick because I would have walked the 200 miles to get home and see him. He was like my kid, my best friend, my everything. Now he's gone and all I have left is a story.
well if it makes u guys feel any better i had a cockatiel for 7 years he could sing mimick telephones the microwave car beeping noises then a drunken work collegue bit his head off in the kitchen with some other drunken sons of bitches i stabbed him and was imprisoned for 6 months. lost my home my 2 dogs and my bird ;(

Long Story short, An oven liner purchased for Christmas cooking was the killer! Had no WARNING of Teflon or harmful to animals with small respitory systems. When I got a hold of company, all they had to say was sorry, I talk to a lawyer, and he said its only birds, if it happened say to grandma, or ma, then I have a case, But I was robbed of to friends, and failed on promise to George owner he was going to loving home, Iam just ripped in pieces, and well I got a Cockatiel as a gift, after all.
A week from his death So lost from his void, I traveled 200 miles to get another one, named George, in hopes to take away my pain, George was Awesome, could say his name, just like my Goofy I could pet him on his head to, had him one day, and one day so awesome, but next day we cooked dinner, an hour after, George fell ill same way Goofy did, and died in front of me! I can't tell you how mad at God I got, and life. still lost, but for the most I try to block it out.
Your movie breaks my heart. He is so cute. I'll always remember my first African grey Mikey. Now there's Shaylee and she is so amazing too, but a buddy is a buddy. Warm hugs.
Cockatiels are just so amazing. Even 3+ years later I'm sorry for your loss. Many years ago I had a cockatiel that died at 2 yrs 2 months named Pat. I wish things had turned out differently for him and that he'd have lived a lot longer, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Your video tribute made me misty-eyed.

After coming back from my studies, I noticed the male parakeet was ill. He was on ground level and couldn,t get up to food/water level. Something made him sick in the day. He died eventually and the female is now alone. I don't know if I should introduce another male after 1 week.

So sorry for your loss! I lost my cockatiel Mickey in Oct 2009 (9 years old and it was an illness) and it's exactly as you described with Napoleon. Mickey was my world. Interestingly, Mickey's also a cinnamon like Napoleon (which made this a little tough to watch) but anyway, my deepest sympathies! These guys are priceless. I don't think many realize their value.
i had two cockatiels andone of them flew away and died as i opened the door cuz it got startled it tried to come down from a tree when i was trying to get it back and it got stuck it was to high and my other cockatiel s so sad it still looks for her where they used to play on the bike tires and it flys around looking for her and i keep thinking about it so this video really made my eyes water its so sad r.i.p chocolata she looked kind of like yours but brownish
Man..I'm sorry. R.I.P You know..I'm not a very emotional person. Especially when it comes to videos or movies or shows and stuff but..This..made my eyes water. A lot. I had to hold back the tears! PS: The little budgie who was preening Napoleon looked just like mine. He sadly passed away just over a month ago... He lived to the ripe age of 12. I sure miss the little guy.

I keep finding myself coming back to watch this video. It makes me sad, yet happy, in a weird way. My own cockatiel is very attached to me in much the same way that yours was. I've been going through some tough times, and watching this video made me realize that, instead of isolating myself, I really should be looking to my cockatiel, Mo, for comfort, and stop ignoring his cries for attention.

@lorayala12 Man, I'm a grown man, but every day I walk through the door.And somehow it rips me. I couldn't sleep for weeks. I had a Senegal, Named Goofy. SINCE 1984! Mom got him for me when I was 7. He would say my name, let me pet him on his head, do all kinds of sounds cool tricks, mock phones, microwaves,ect! I thought he would out live me, I'm 34 now, he died 12days before Christmas this year, for no reason, old?his health was great! So hurt from his death. But it only got worse!!!
This is just too sad. My bird means everything to me. I'd be devistated if anything were to happen to my little buddy. He's always there chirping when I come home. This year has been Hell, and he makes it all better.

did lucky have a condition.. mine nearly died at 7 months but was a fighter she got psittacossis and got better . she is 2 now and has fast breathing and feel she may have a shoter life but is the best .. shes a pigglet and so sweet ..anyway fill me in .. cheers

I think it is so thoughtful to think of your pet as part of your family. I to have a cockalteil almost the same type as your called Snowy. He is still around at the right old age of 23, but I will never forget the impact he has had on me and my whole family. Just that Napoleon has gone to better place. Keep in touch.

This video made me cry but then again i was already crying, my cat got out of the house on april 20 2010 and I have search and search through my neighborhood and passed out fliers with a reward of 200.00 for his safe return, so far nothing and I am missing him badly, he wasnt just a pet he was a family member. After coming back from my studies, I noticed the male parakeet was ill. He was on ground level and couldn,t get up to food/water level. Something made him sick in the day. He died eventually and the female is now alone. I don't know if I should introduce another male after 1 week.

No. They are more than just birds. They are my best friends.

So sorry for your loss! I lost my cockatiel Mickey in Oct 2009 (9 years old and it was an illness) and it's exactly as you described with Napoleon. Mickey was my world. Interestingly, Mickey's also a cinnamon like Napoleon (which made this a little tough to watch) but anyway, my deepest sympathies! These guys are priceless. I don't think many realize their value.

i had two cockatiels andone of them flew away and died as i opened the door cuz it got startled it tried to come down from a tree when i was trying to get it back and it got stuck it was to high and my other cockatiel s so sad it still looks for her where they used to play on the bike tires and it flys around looking for her and i keep thinking about it so this video really made my eyes water its so sad r.i.p chocolata she looked kind of like yours but brownish

Man..I'm sorry. R.I.P You know..I'm not a very emotional person. Especially when it comes to videos or movies or shows and stuff but..This..made my eyes water. A lot. I had to hold back the tears! Thats so sad. :( Maybe It's because I have two cockatiels and the thought of them dying just..makes me really sad. Once again I'm sorry for your loss. He seemed like a very happy bird and he's in a better place now. You seem like a wonderful owner too.

PS: The little budgie who was preening Napoleon looked just like mine. He sadly passed away just over a month ago... He lived to the ripe age of 12. I sure miss the little guy.

I keep finding myself coming back to watch this video. It makes me sad, yet happy, in a weird way. My own cockatiel is very attached to me in much the same way that yours was. I've been going through some tough times, and watching this video made me realize that, instead of isolating myself, I really should be looking to my cockatiel, Mo, for comfort, and stop ignoring his cries for attention.
Thanks so much for making this video. It's reminded to me to cherish Mo while I can.

@lorayala12 Man, I'm a grown man, but every day I walk through the door.And somehow it rips me. I couldn't sleep for weeks. I had a Senegal, Named Goofy. SINCE 1984! Mom got him for me when I was 7. He would say my name, let me pet him on his head, do all kinds of sounds cool tricks, mock phones, microwaves,ect! I thought he would out live me, I'm 34 now, he died 12days before Christmas this year, for no reason, old?his health was great! So hurt from his death. But it only got worse!!!

did lucky have a condition.. mine nearly died at 7 months but was a fighter she got psittacossis and got better . she is 2 now and has fast breathing and feel she may have a shoter life but is the best .. shes a pigglet and so sweet ..anyway fill me in .. cheers

I think it is so thoughtful to think of your pet as part of your family. I to have a cockalteil almost the same type as your called Snowy. He is still around at the right old age of 23, but I will never forget the impact he has had on me and my whole family. Just that Napoleon has gone to better place. Keep in touch.

This video made me cry but then again i was already crying, my cat got out of the house on april 20 2010 and I have search and search through my neighborhood and passed out fliers with a reward of 200.00 for his safe return, so far nothing and I am missing him badly, he wasnt just a pet he was a family member. I got him when he was 4 weeks old and he is now 10 yrs old and still acted like a kitten....I miss you so much c.c.

this made me cry because i just lost my cockatiel due to a cheast cold and im so sad and i miss my cockatiel clipso very badly he was my baby and it broke my heart when he died and i just cant get over it he died a month ago and i cant deal that the fact he died it really breaks my heart and i hope mine and you're bird are happier in heaven my bird was 4 years old and he knew so much and he just died and i love him so much and i miss him so much :'( r.i.p clipso i love and miss you baby

I have lost 3 cockatiels. I love them all more that anything...my last bird died about year ago and it still hurts like it happened yeasterday....:/ They all were so important to me...
