chucknoblock, You are so quick to forget. The Sabres also played against a depleted Flyer team as well. Sabres would have never beat them they were at full strength. Don't feel bad, you still had a shot to see the Cup.....when Kevyn Adams brought to home to upstate New York for his day with the Cup. If Ward was pulled again, it wouldn't have made much of a difference since Gerber had fully recovered from the virus he was suffering from.

Get over it raiders86 and chucknoblock. They are the 2006 Stanley Cup Champions and the Eastern Conference Champions, #2 and they deserve it. They played hard and with heart like a team. Ward and Cullen were both good players and great guys. We'll miss them. But everyone contributed.
