@mishakiler In order for you to get Kai tak, you need to purchase an addon scenery. Go to Fly Tampa.com to get kai tak. Once you download it, you add it to your scenery folder in your FSX file. Good luck and happy flying.

@Andymanse8 FSX is a very heavy game with add-ons. Without its no problem. Atleast scenery add-ons. Aircraft add-ons ar no problem at all either. And some scenery are ok to but very big high detailed scenery it can get laggy.

@TheAusraelian Thats a fast cpu so i dont see a problem. Maybe you should do some cfg tweaking. Works really wel with me. There are some tweaks out there that are optimized for i7 and new nvidia and ATI cards. That should speed it up a little. But keep in mind that fsx with allot of add-ons may be the hardest game in the world on computers. Good luck!

go to run type msconfig and then go to "boot"category im not sure if its called boot then disable everything you see after all that it'l ask you to restart you pc do that and see what happens let me know if that helped !

@keffoo321 I asked that because I just installed FSX, pmdg 747 and some scenery, including kai tak, but even at ultra high, (a few things are not on the max settings), it is still looks like fs9 hahah. I can see my resolution is a bit worst, but most is like in this video, I'm only missing that "dark image" look, is that from FSX or video editing? Thanks.

@mishakiler FS doesn't recognize Kai Tak as an airport. Its is "Hong Kong (old) " You can just spawn there by typing Hong Kong and you will see it in the list.

@mishakiler that's because it's not in your AIRAC database. If I'm not mistaken, in the recent AIRAC datebases, they don't have VHHX. You need to download navdata for VHHX. Just not sure where for the PMDG 747.
