There are simply too many stars for the Reapers to search and even if they can, concealment and dispersion can maximise our chances of survival. Fighting the reapers in foolhardy. A Reaper is equal to many dreadnoughts and there are more Reapers than you have dreadnoughts

If there is a game out there that has one cutscene that can "rip apart someone's chest from within", it is Mass Effect 3. The boy represents Shepard's struggle to protect all innocent life in the galaxy (if you choose Paragon path, which I did in both ME and ME2) from annihilation.

But the boy's demise also represents that Shepard could not save everyone from death while at the same time trying to protect them. Shepard will have to fight not only for living, but also for the lost as well.

oh and i think they should change the reaper weapons back to the original hot white/yellow, because there not lasers, there literally shooting molten metal.  They look too much like lasers now (unless those smaller reapers have completely different weapons, there's no lore for them yet)

@Arcian Yes i know I'm wrong. I have no idea why I said yellow. Just a dumb moment there i guess, but what I'm saying is that they are not lasers. They are short bursts of molten metal. It's just weird how in me1 the metal stream would last no more than a second, here it seems like they are shooting more like a collector beam, which i think are lasers. So these types of reapers must have a different type of weapon for destroying smaller targets as shown here. Sorry for the dumb ass comment.

@po0po0nanA A quick trip through the codex reveals they use high energy electromagnetic fields to channel molten material at near the speed of light. So.... yes they aren't lasers and you are partially correct. However since lasers travel at the speed of light, and so do reaper weapons (or at least close to it.) they would definitely look like a laser.

Holy BALLS. I mean, I've always loved Mansell. He can do action (Req. for a Dream, best action song ever, any doubters? And there's always Dead Reckoning), Sci-fi (the Moon soundtrack), and songs that can make even me cry (the Fountain soundtrack, which this is really like).
