Saya bukan muslim yang perfect tapi saya baca bible untuk lihat sendiri apa yang dikatakan oleh ulama2 sebagai pembohongan2 dalam bible. Percaya atau tidak, dengan membaca bible, anda akan lebih bersyukur kerana dilahirkan muslim (tidak perlu mencari Islam).
Kerana itulah, salah satu Ulama dan Da'i islam moden yang paling ditakuti oleh kristian (termasuk Pope) adalah allahyarham Ahmed Deedat. Kerana beliau betul2 faham bible.

@muhammadhadi88 Nah we can't blame anyone here, can only say its caused by decade-long-taboo of discussing race-religion issues openly. Can only blame the ones who categorizes these topics as "isu sensitif". I believe that it is better to discuss, debate, even quarrel and move on, than to hide our feelings towards it and the 'time-bomb' suddently burst out (riots, even civil war)
@yongtaufu Actually, it IS "isu sensitif". Because muslims is protected under Msian Constitution (no peraching on muslims into other religions). From there, i believe out of RESPECT to other religions, muslim Da'i DECIDED not to preach to other major religions too. They mostly focus on "orang asli" who technically, dont have any religion (animism etc).

+ve > we RARELY have religious turmoil/clash in M'sia.

@dogoly2k Good point haha, especially the +ve -ve effect of restricting discussion abt religion. However if there is a chance it would be good to have conferences discussing religions in M'sia. Think of the knowledge we could gain from philosophy/views/teachings from each and every different religion ^ ^
@yongtaufu I believe we do have such discussions but it is held between the religious "leaders" in M'sia. Whicih is is rather stupid because being the "leaders"(with a lot to lose), these dudes tends to omit from speaking the "truth" from their followers.
We do have an understandingin M'sia i.e: "dont fuck with our religion and we won't fuck with yours" Haha!

@yongtaufu This is the 1st time i hear such stories too. But i do know that of all faiths in Malaysia, Hinduism seems the only one constantly gt problems with authorities regarding temple sites.
May be becoz in H, almost EVERYTHING (monkey, elephant, cows, snake etc are gods). As such, they tend to build their tamples literally everywhere (many on abandoned state land). Then, when the land need to be developed, problem ensues. But things are more organised nowadays. Still, i'm sorry 4 them.
@dogoly2k Speaking of gods, I believe people have misinterpreted the meaning of devas with god, cozif they're gods they would've been the creators, but for devas its represents the Highbeing of animals and other being - they are animals, but with spiritual ability. Even for chinese '神' was misinterpreted as god, but actually it means 'spirits'. '仙' somehow also being interpreted as god, but its actually the highest level of enlightenment achieved in Taoism. Luckily buddha has its own word.
@yongtaufu I see, Since Malay ourselves was predominantly hindus once, i think i can relate to that. The "deva" that you mentioned, we called as "dewa". The idea itself is very irrational and ambiguous.
I believe in ONE eternal God, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful. Who has no beginning and no end. He doesn't beget, nor was he begotten. And there is nothing in the whole existence & imagination can be associated with His physical entity.

@dogoly2k Every books, texts, scriptures in this world, are edited, copied, translated. How can you be sure that non of the religious you've read in your whole life's not altered in any form? How can you be sure that bible is not right and your religions' texts are true? Did al-quran not written by human? and is the language used in al-quran not by human too?
That's easy. The bible got more than 20,000 "ORIGINAL" manuscripts written AFTER Isa's (pbuh) death. Yet NONE of the 20,000 plus manuscript are IDENTICAL. Then, you produce numerous "TRANSLATIONS" from them and call each one as The Holy Bible. And the process of editing and alteration of Bible still continue until today.
One funny fact is that they even translates the NAMES of the people. You do know that the name "JESUS" itself is a translation, right? ;)
Since you brought Quran into discussion, i will reply.
The Quran was written and compiled DURING Muhammad (pbuh) lifetime. We do have numerous "TRANSLATIONS" of Quran in many languages. Yet no muslim will call the translations of Quran as The Holy Quran. We call it translations of Quran bcoz that is exacly what it is.
There is only ONE version of al-Quran, the one in arabic used by all muslims and has never been corrupted/amended/edited even by one word untill today. :)
@dogoly2k Well I have to agree on that... if I'm not wrong there are Old testaments and New testaments, there are even jewish bible; some even branch themselves as mormonism (latter day saints, with their own version of bible). However the goal of most of all religion is still the same right? XD

@yongtaufu There are more thn 100 diff VERSIONS of Bible (where no 2 of thm are identicle) used by Christians around the world. They can't be all THE word of God, right? There. I prv to u that Bible is not the true word of Gog as it has been edited/corrupted by human's agenda.
Yet, i do believe that there is NO religion teaches and preaches evil. If evryone REALLY fear God, there will be no evil in this world. The value of man is in his actions, NOT his "faith". Only God can judge faith.

Frankly speaking I'm not even a christian, I'm a buddhist/taoist as I accept the philosophy that in taoism, all matters should have a balance - Yin-Yang, Light-Dark, Good-Evil; when there is more in any form, the balance of the universe will be upset. I believe god-evil must co-exist.
As a muslim i believe that my God is all-knowing (one of His features). And i believe in afterlife. Where everything i do in this lifetime will be judged.
I can kill, cheat, lie, swindle and wit my way out at others' expense and if i really smart and lucky, never get caught in this life. But my God knows and will make me accountable b4 Him later.

Q : Is God a threat?
A : YES - If i'm a BAD guy living a SINFUL life. If not, thn He is the Most Merciful & Most Loving.
@dogoly2k Sounds familliar with one of the theories by buddhist psychologists - in our existing life we have five senses - touch smell taste sight sound, but to connect with the untouchable being there are extra three senses; 6th is our consciousness, 7th acts as a bridge to the 8th, and the 8th acts as our alignment storage-good deeds and sins you have done in all your past-life will be stored and able to change with your present actions, thus able to determine your allignment of being good-bad
@dogoly2k Hahaha coz last time I joined a national buddhist camp and the topic they've been discussing was "Buddhism Psychology". There I've found that the way they structure buddhism could be compared with universities, even monks have their own ranking -scholars, out-reachers, meditators (mostly contribute to new theories and philosophies as they meditate and at certain point, reach the 'aha' moment). so generally speaking buddhism can be said as flexible, everchanging, adaptive religion ever.
@yongtaufu No offence intended, but that is why Islam (also Christianity & Judaism), all three known as Samawi (from heaven-sent by God) religion, Whereas, other than those 3 are known as Ardhi (man-made).
God doesn't adapt to wishes of man but man adapts to please fellow man.
That is why also it is very2 RARE to find a muslim convert into Buddhism, Hinduism etc anyywhere.
@dogoly2k This one I have to agree, but I believe for christians do follow (can't be said as being converted as buddhism doesn't do so) the teachings of buddha as influenced by their culture (western culture of being more individualistc). The goal of buddhism is not to follow god but to achieve a state of non-existence after death (Nirvana), which in turn, ends all suffering (buddhists believe being here is a stare of suffering - live, Ageing, Sickness, and Death) and to be a Buddha yourself.

Does Buddhism believe in God then? If yes, did god/s created mankind just to "suffer" life without any guidelines? Then somehow man found the way to "undo" that suffering from god/s is by "cease" to exist? Doesn't that make god/s sounds like an malicious entity?
I believe life is a "gift". I can use or abuse it all i want and reap/suffer the fruits/consequence later. :)
@dogoly2k I'm not sure bout that, but I think what they mean is that buddhism does not trace back the origins of mankind nor talked about the existence of god but to search for a way of an ending. we believe in afterlife, and life before this. We have been 'trapped' in this reincarnative loop eversince and buddhism is about searching for a path that we would end this infinite loop.
@dogoly2k In one of the theories, they explained that we have three levels in this world (exact phrase I fogot but pls bear with me, its all from my 1 year old memory XD) - sky (heaven), underground(hell) and earth (mankind). In sky, since everything there would in a state of infinite pleasantness there would be no stimulus for wisdom (enlightenment?). In hell, you would understand the situation right? so none either. @dogoly2k In earth , we have 3 kinds of being - Mankind, animal(or other living things), and spirits. We as human were 'sandwiched' with all these elements (I personally think this is all the suffering comes from), yet we still have the ability to reach enlightenment (nirvana) as we are like a universal 'sponge'. @dogoly2k It doesnt mean that you need to be very smart but the wisdom that you've obtained from life to life (which stored in the 8th sense we've discussed about) would be unlocked when the time is right (nirvana) so we could say that you are allowed to take your own pace (even only 1 sentence and you 'get' it) that is good enough for this life, and continues on the next until you reach the final epic moment XD

Saya juga baca bible. Saya nasihatkan sebelum baca bible lebih baik kita kenal sejarahnya dulu, misalnya Jesus menggunakan bahasa Aram, menurut kristian Jesus mati di salib pada tahun 30 masehi. Selepas 20 tahun kematiannya barulah bible(PB) muncul. Ia di tulis oleh St Paul dalam bahasa Yunani. Lantaran itu kita dapat menilai apakah benar bible itu adalah ajaran Jesus atau ajaran St Paul.

@yongtaufu Actually, it IS "isu sensitif". Because muslims is protected under Msian Constitution (no peraching on muslims into other religions). From there, i believe out of RESPECT to other religions, muslim Da'i DECIDED not to preach to other major religions too. They mostly focus on "orang asli" who technically, dont have any religion (animism etc).
Effect :
+ve > we RARELY have religious turmoil/clash in M'sia.
-ve > Each group bcame too complacently living in our resp religious bubbles.

@yongtaufu This is the 1st time i hear such stories too. But i do know that of all faiths in Malaysia, Hinduism seems the only one constantly gt problems with authorities regarding temple sites.
May be becoz in H, almost EVERYTHING (monkey, elephant, cows, snake etc are gods). As such, they tend to build their tamples literally everywhere (many on abandoned state land). Then, when the land need to be developed, problem ensues. But things are more organised nowadays. Still, i'm sorry 4 them.

@dogoly2k Speaking of gods, I believe people have misinterpreted the meaning of devas with god, cozif they're gods they would've been the creators, but for devas its represents the Highbeing of animals and other being - they are animals, but with spiritual ability. Even for chinese '神' was misinterpreted as god, but actually it means 'spirits'. '仙' somehow also being interpreted as god, but its actually the highest level of enlightenment achieved in Taoism. Luckily buddha has its own word.

@yongtaufu I see, Since Malay ourselves was predominantly hindus once, i think i can relate to that. The "deva" that you mentioned, we called as "dewa". The idea itself is very irrational and ambiguous.
I believe in ONE eternal God, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful. Who has no beginning and no end. He doesn't beget, nor was he begotten. And there is nothing in the whole existence & imagination can be associated with His physical entity.
That pretty much sums up what God means to me. :)

@dogoly2k One more stereotype I've noticed here is that people tend to think that you could see when chinese go to tokong and put joss sticks are taoist/buddhist; strictly speaking they're NOT religion and only have minor relation with taoism/buddhism. It is more towards chinese culture/tradition/customs than has religious meanings in there.

That's easy. The bible got more than 20,000 "ORIGINAL" manuscripts written AFTER Isa's (pbuh) death. Yet NONE of the 20,000 plus manuscript are IDENTICAL. Then, you produce numerous "TRANSLATIONS" from them and call each one as The Holy Bible. And the process of editing and alteration of Bible still continue until today.
One funny fact is that they even translates the NAMES of the people. You do know that the name "JESUS" itself is a translation, right? ;)

Since you brought Quran into discussion, i will reply.
The Quran was written and compiled DURING Muhammad (pbuh) lifetime. We do have numerous "TRANSLATIONS" of Quran in many languages. Yet no muslim will call the translations of Quran as The Holy Quran. We call it translations of Quran bcoz that is exacly what it is.
There is only ONE version of al-Quran, the one in arabic used by all muslims and has never been corrupted/amended/edited even by one word untill today. :)

@dogoly2k Sounds familliar with one of the theories by buddhist psychologists - in our existing life we have five senses - touch smell taste sight sound, but to connect with the untouchable being there are extra three senses; 6th is our consciousness, 7th acts as a bridge to the 8th, and the 8th acts as our alignment storage-good deeds and sins you have done in all your past-life will be stored and able to change with your present actions, thus able to determine your allignment of being good-bad

@dogoly2k Hahaha coz last time I joined a national buddhist camp and the topic they've been discussing was "Buddhism Psychology". There I've found that the way they structure buddhism could be compared with universities, even monks have their own ranking -scholars, out-reachers, meditators (mostly contribute to new theories and philosophies as they meditate and at certain point, reach the 'aha' moment). so generally speaking buddhism can be said as flexible, everchanging, adaptive religion ever.

God doesn't adapt to wishes of man but man adapts to please fellow man.

@dogoly2k This one I have to agree, but I believe for christians do follow (can't be said as being converted as buddhism doesn't do so) the teachings of buddha as influenced by their culture (western culture of being more individualistc). The goal of buddhism is not to follow god but to achieve a state of non-existence after death (Nirvana), which in turn, ends all suffering (buddhists believe being here is a stare of suffering - live, Ageing, Sickness, and Death) and to be a Buddha yourself.

@dogoly2k I'm not sure bout that, but I think what they mean is that buddhism does not trace back the origins of mankind nor talked about the existence of god but to search for a way of an ending. we believe in afterlife, and life before this. We have been 'trapped' in this reincarnative loop eversince and buddhism is about searching for a path that we would end this infinite loop.

@dogoly2k In one of the theories, they explained that we have three levels in this world (exact phrase I fogot but pls bear with me, its all from my 1 year old memory XD) - sky (heaven), underground(hell) and earth (mankind). In sky, since everything there would in a state of infinite pleasantness there would be no stimulus for wisdom (enlightenment?). In hell, you would understand the situation right? so none either. @dogoly2k In earth , we have 3 kinds of being - Mankind, animal(or other living things), and spirits. We as human were 'sandwiched' with all these elements (I personally think this is all the suffering comes from), yet we still have the ability to reach enlightenment (nirvana) as we are like a universal 'sponge'. We absorb knowledge, we are able to analyze, thus able to obtain wisdom.

@dogoly2k It doesnt mean that you need to be very smart but the wisdom that you've obtained from life to life (which stored in the 8th sense we've discussed about) would be unlocked when the time is right (nirvana) so we could say that you are allowed to take your own pace (even only 1 sentence and you 'get' it) that is good enough for this life, and continues on the next until you reach the final epic moment XD

This is correct. Most people here got their religions by succession through birth. Sadly, their actions don't reflect what their faith teaches. The fact is, we do got our share of simpletons, idiots and extremists like other religions do.

saya mengamati bible di sarawak kerna al-quran tidak ada di hotel2 di sana. sarawak tu negeri Malaysia tp nmpknya Al-Quran tiada tmpt di hotel2? Wpun, Alhamdulillah kepercayaan sy terhadap isi kandungan al-Quran lebih teguh slps membaca bible.

Saya juga baca bible. Saya nasihatkan sebelum baca bible lebih baik kita kenal sejarahnya dulu, misalnya Jesus menggunakan bahasa Aram, menurut kristian Jesus mati di salib pada tahun 30 masehi. Selepas 20 tahun kematiannya barulah bible(PB) muncul. Ia di tulis oleh St Paul dalam bahasa Yunani. St Paul ini pada mulanya merupakan musuh Jesus dan tidak pula seumur hidupnya ada hubungan dengan Jesus. Lantaran itu kita dapat menilai apakah benar bible itu adalah ajaran Jesus atau ajaran St Paul.

@raufidah nani adam tidak membaca quran dari mana kmu dapat atikel itu?kisahn nabi adam terkandung dalam injil kejadian dan bukan dari quran,sebahagian isi2 dalam quran telah dikopy oleh muhammad ke dalam quran.injil telah ada lebih 2000 tahun yg lalu sebelum masihi,dan quran pula muncul 1500 tahun yg lalu selepas masihi..agama tertua dunia adalah agama christian.
