Actually, you can't really say one is better than the other. They were both made with different performance targets. The canards on the Typhoon are place farther towards the front of the aircraft for more maneuverability at supersonic speeds, as it was designed to be first and foremost an interceptor. The Rafale was designed to be a multi-role fighter, therefore more maneuverability at low speed (hence the canards' position) for air-ground strikes and so it can be used on aircraft carriers.
WTF, the eurofighter is the most tecnologically advanced multi-role fighter in the world and is a lot more manouverable than the rafale, the typhoon can supercruise the rafale cant, the eurofighter can also hold 6g manouvers at supersonic whereas the rafale cant, the eurofighter can hold 9g for 9 seconds(THATS FURTHER THAN ANY OTHER PLANE). c'mon i could go on forever
Rafale is the real multirole fighter, the maneuverabillity of the Typhoon at low speed sucks alot, I ssaw it with my own eyes, the consequences are that this craft sucks for air to ground missions, but he's the best (between the two of them) for air to air and intercepting the enemy at high speed. The typhoon is not a Multirole, in a dogfight at mid/low speed, the Typhoon will lose for sure.
And I prefer the Rafale, his design is way much better.

Either was obsolete on day 1. Engineers determined the swing wing config is neat but poor compromise. The resulting aircraft is heavy, with high wing loading. The Panavia engineers made the situation worse by making it underpowered (wimpy RB199) turbofan. The same is true of the Tornado ADV.
The British military establishment ruled that the F-14 or F-15 were inferior to the Tornado ADV. Ask the Italians how much they enjoyed their experience with the ADV. Yikes.

There is no Way in Hell that the Rafale takes out the EF. A couple of Months ago, there was some sort of Manouver in the Netherlands. And there were Rafales and german Phantoms. No it isn't, they came both from the same project, the European Combat Project (1977) : bireactor, stealth, electronic commands, canards... France proposed ACT92 (rafale), German proposed TFK-90, and UK proposed the ACA. The three plane obey to the same criteria, that's why they have quite the same design.
Due to different needs, France choose composite fiber plane, the rafale (then ACX) which had a navy version. Germany-Spain-UK-Italy chose Eurofighter (ACA+TFK90).

Actually, you can't really say one is better than the other. They were both made with different performance targets. The canards on the Typhoon are place farther towards the front of the aircraft for more maneuverability at supersonic speeds, as it was designed to be first and foremost an interceptor. The Rafale was designed to be a multi-role fighter, therefore more maneuverability at low speed (hence the canards' position) for air-ground strikes and so it can be used on aircraft carriers.

Rafale is the real multirole fighter, the maneuverabillity of the Typhoon at low speed sucks alot, I ssaw it with my own eyes, the consequences are that this craft sucks for air to ground missions, but he's the best (between the two of them) for air to air and intercepting the enemy at high speed. The typhoon is not a Multirole, in a dogfight at mid/low speed, the Typhoon will lose for sure.
And I prefer the Rafale, his design is way much better.

Wow...Typhoon has PIRATE and CAPTOR . Neat names! Great marketing for lame products. An archaic radar detection system and an obsolete mechanical radar platform. The only improvement is an increase in emitted power.
The Good: the ability to track targets at greater distance.
The Bad: everyone knows where you are (You are now a beacon)!
Bottom Line: Don't like Rafale? Fair enough; please don't tell me Typhoon is better than American aircraft--you'll just sound silly. Cheers.

This is easy: Lets get this out of the way: the Typhoon looks funny and ungainly...It's pedigree is evident: Lightning, Buccaneer, Harrier, Tornado, Nimrod--all just plain funny looking. Honestly, WTF? Really--the Russians and Swedes create more elegant designs effortlessly. Please don't "lay on the BS" about ability--as any comment will be an exaggeration of reality (Nimrod AEW, Nimrod MRA4, Tornado ADS, ASRAAM, JP233, HOTOL, Beagle II, Meteor (I can go on)).

ADV or IDS, both are lame.
Either was obsolete on day 1. Engineers determined the swing wing config is neat but poor compromise. The resulting aircraft is heavy, with high wing loading. The Panavia engineers made the situation worse by making it underpowered (wimpy RB199) turbofan. The same is true of the Tornado ADV.
The British military establishment ruled that the F-14 or F-15 were inferior to the Tornado ADV. Ask the Italians how much they enjoyed their experience with the ADV. Yikes.

No it isn't, they came both from the same project, the European Combat Project (1977) : bireactor, stealth, electronic commands, canards... France proposed ACT92 (rafale), German proposed TFK-90, and UK proposed the ACA. The three plane obey to the same criteria, that's why they have quite the same design.
Due to different needs, France choose composite fiber plane, the rafale (then ACX) which had a navy version. Germany-Spain-UK-Italy chose Eurofighter (ACA+TFK90).

The F-22 is the best when it comes down to combat capabilities, but at $300 million a unit they are around three times the price of an EF, the F-35 is a cheaper and less advanced version of the F-22 but still beats the EF, MIG-29, SU-27, and the Rafale. I would then say the EF and Rafale are tied, and the last ones due to their reliability and maintenance costs are the MIG-9 and SU-27.

France got trashed by Nazi Germany, it was the Allies (United States, United Kingdom and the Soviet Union) who saved all of you from Nazism don't give me that crap that france was potentially strong against Nazi Germany don't make me laugh, we helped you when all of you needed it. and I'm talking about World War II not the American Revolution, get your time lines correct.

United States will never be a totalarian and comunist country but if you guys want to bring european troops you are more than welcome.
The war against terrorism is far more complicated that a war against country, those rebels use the suicidal guerrilla style just like Vietnam War and to blow up a whole country just for a few rebels wouldn't be an option.

Terrorism is an abstraction. You can't fight against abstractions. You can wage war only against terrorists (something concrete), not terror itself. And you will loose this "war", if you like it or not. Terrorism can't be fought as a whole - unless you're thinking of total mind-control of every human being - and that's simply not practicable. Even for Americans. When will you understand it?

The US are on their best way to fascist or police-state structures. Fascism is not only the Nazi-form you might know from school. There are many forms that we all had here in Europe- be it in Germany, Spain, Greece, Romania, Eastern Germany, Poland, Chech Republic etc. The German Federal Ministry of the Interior is as paranoic as US politics. And it won't lead to the smallest gain of security.

There is a difference between attacking other people on bad asserts to steal their natural ressources (and btw playing on people fears to make it pass like a soap in a hand or somewhere else), and trully defend itself.
But for me attacking country which are AGAINST terrorism (like Iraq, which was a terrorism-free dictature before US attack, and full of terrorism now) is clearly not the best way to fight terrorism

What the hell are you talking about? do you live in the US to say that we are getting free oil, it's more expensive than never because we are buying it like everybody else and under the Hussein dictatorship, I don't remember Irak being totally against terrorism. after 9/11 Saddam Hussein said that United States was getting what it deserved, I don't see that as anti-terrorist.

I don't see it as an act of terrorism too. I say that Iraq under Hussein dictature was not a terrorist state, forming terrorists, because it was mostly a laic state when actual terrorism is religion terrorism.
And do you live in Europe to see how much cost the oil to us? But we don't make war to Iraq (most of us).
Btw, oil will soon be cheaper in US, as Italian factories are making oil pump for Us government.

Currently I'm paying almost $4.00 for a gallon of gasoline, when that goes down like $2.20 which was like six years ago when I was a trainee driver I'll let you know and again do not mix oil with the war, things are not like you think they are.

So, lets make the calcul. a gallon is 3.785 liter. At 1.3 euro the liter (more or less), this is 4.9 euro, so in dollar it give us 5.85 dollar. I would love to pay 4 dollar for a gallon of gasoline.
Btw, I'm sorry, but the first strategic objective to seize in a country we invade is not oil rig for me, but it was for US army invading Iraq. Then, you have very bad strategic officer, or the goal of the war was clearly to put an hand on Iraqian oil ressources.

To pay $4.00 for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. is a huge price because of the fact that we have bigger cars that consume more gasoline, I have seen the European cars like the Fiat and they are smaller and again you lost the main point, United States decided to attack first Afghanistan and then Irak after 9/11 in an effort to eradicate terrorism.
I know that the European press makes people think that the United States is the evil country on earth so stop believing everything they say.

We also have big cars, but we make it consume less. I drive a Megane Berline, I've fun with it and it consume 7.8 liter/100 km on small road, but it's less than Hummers and SUV. It's your problem if you MUST buy big cars which consume alot. For me it's not an argument.
Second, I can do myself my own opinion without being "directed" by the european press (which doens't depict US as an evil country in fact, it's more when I see US press that I say myself there is a problem with the US).

I don't have a H3 or a SUV because they are not my type of car, I drive a Japanese Toyota Supra which consumes a bit less of gasoline and believe me I always pay a lot due to the high prices of oil but most people prefer American trucks and SUV's and I don't see anything wrong with the American press in fact they showed us the conditions of prisoners in Guantanamo bay which is a honest think to do in my opinion.

being totally impartial and letting people know the mistakes the US is commiting in some fields of this war but I got word from some American friends in Europe that the European press attacks deliberately the current American politics something we never do with European politics and if you are not directed by the media like you say you are you should know that we are not fighting for natural resources but for democracy.

And the Vichy Regime collaborated with the National Socialists, as did the Italian Fascists or others. Who cares? France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, we're all friendly nations now and work together (more or less effectively) and try to follow united military, economical and political goals. We've learned our lessons in Europe quite well.
