I've purchased a BioCube 29 and I can't seem to get the water level right. The pump keeps exhausting it's own water supply but it doesn't seem to start correcting itself until the tank is so full of water that it starts to pour into the 3rd chamber where the pump is - but then it's not going through the filter properly.

Please update,I am running the same skimmer one week already, I only get fizzle. I have to turn it off during the night. Dose it matter?

@guanglei19831025 Mine fizzles too, im not to impressed so far. And i turn mine off at night because it is to loud for me and I like it quiet when i sleep :P

How’s it going so far? I've got the same skimmer now on my Biocube HQI and all it does is fizzle too. I've been running mine for about 2 weeks now and no change. How do you have yours set? My air intake is like yours in the video and the water height is a little less than half way up the neck. I've seen one other video of this skimmer on YouTube and that one actually had skimmate. So, I am wondering how long it takes to break in or what setting do you have to have to get it to produce skimmate.

Didn't know about this product, thanks. I am actively searching for a skimmer myself. I almost pulled the trigger on the AquaMaxx HOB-1 skimmer just before Christmas. Then I realized that I really want one that can live in chamber 1 of my Biocube HQI without modding. That also ruled out the AquaticLife skimmer. The Oceanic model that came with my Biocube was useless and quickly tossed. Will be eagerly awaiting your next update.

Hey, nice tank. But is the nano skimmer loud at all. I just would like a quiet skimmer.

@saltyhamms I think if you will be keeping this skimmer in a cabinet it will be fine. Personally, I shut the darn thing off before i go to sleep at night, I dont like to hear the gurgling when im trying to go to sleep. but if it is going in a family room and not a bedroom, i dont think you will notice it.

I still have hopes that you will be able to gather the money to get a AI sol or nano. I have no doubt you will figuring out an acceptable way to attractively attach it to your bio cube. Perhaps you will get a large tax refund? I think an LED light will be one of the best upgrades you make to this system. (next to the sump and controller of course...) Personally, I plan to start my system with the ecotech radion, and Yes, that will cost be a pretty penny! Cheers!
