Coloraturafan- is this lifted from another Rossini opera? If so, which one if you know? I know it was common for composers to write arias for specific singers who liked to insert them in operas
Thanks so much for this (and so much else on your channel). Have you ever come across recording of Serra in Il Turco in Italia - I heard it over 10 years ago as a radio broadcast (I think from Zurich or Basel) and she was, as always, fantastic (along with Alaimo, Pratico and Gimenez)

I'm pretty sure that Sills sang this aria on her complete recording of Barbiere. Not sure if she sang it when she performed the opera on PBS.
