It says right in the details that its a CHASSIS MULE, designed for testing the chassis' tuning and calibration. It's using a hacked together body made up of Subaru parts and probably some custom fabricated parts because they aren't far enough along in real-world testing to have a production spec body. I wouldn't be surprised if they capture footage of another mule driving around with production spec bodywork sometime in 2010.

This test could be for the suspension and engine. There is no telling what the manufacturers will do to hide their finalized car design. A different body shell may be the actual product or it could be the actual. I'm going to go the optimistic route and hope this is not the final design they are testing. Because the aesthetic design is one of the strongest selling points for a sports car.
