Why is the church and it's teachers above the law, not to mention above morality?
In my part of the world Canada, it is in the news continually about priests
molesting young children. Is it a prerequisite that a person must have some twisted vision of human sexuality to become a priest? We slap their wrist and say shame on you.
I don't get this video. It says that the church has known about and failed to take action against pedophilia for 2000 years, but almost all of the examples used to support this position in fact show that the RCC acknowledged this problem and took measures to stop it.
It seams that people fail to mentioned that most of these abuses took place in the 70s and 80. There is also the fact that these priests account for maybe 1% of all priests In the catholic Church. I have been a Catholic all my life, 22 years. I have never met a pedophile priest nor have I ever been abused by a priest. The majority of Catholics out there have never been abused priests. It is the media that likes to spiral things out of control and proportion.
