He had came to my school today and i started breakin down in tears beause i had this happen to me too when i was 14 and i know how he feels nobody would take me in but they would take all my siblings in and my dad was a meleaster

@countyfair74 You really need to meet Roy in person. He spends is life traveling across the whole US trying to encourage children, teenagers, and adults to accept each other and to not give up on their dreams. He is trying to prevent the hate that runs in people like you. Don't you want this world to be a better place? Well, it is comments and attitudes like yours that are making this world a horrible place to live. I have known Roy since HS and he does not deserve such a comment!

Many times poverty contributes to weight issues because refined carbs (pasta, mac and cheese, top ramen) are cheap. Don't hate till you walk in the shoes. And those friends of Roy, please respond as he would. Better, not bitter. Ignore the hate that infiltrates.

I've seen Roy speak a few times when he was in Phoenix. His story is compelling. He does an excellent job inspiring youth and adults regarding homelessness. Very informative, dynamic, energetic, heartfelt, touching and powerful. By all means, if Roy is ever in your city or town, please be sure to attend his presentation. My friend Roy Juarez does a tremendous job inspiring audiences, especially vulnerable young ones, about homelessness. He's a great speaker--compelling, engaging, and informative! Maybe it's because he's an expert on homelessness...having experienced it. His "Homeless By Choice" venture is worth inviting to your community. Roy Rocks!
