Can anyone imagine how many stores get returns due to broken merchandise? This has got to be costing the industry millions of dollars yearly!!!!! multiple times. A package going across the country gets handled many times and needs to be packaged accordingly, if whatever your shipping gets packed in the box correctly 95% of the time it will arrive safely. If whatever you have is so precious and valuable, your better of delivering it yourself.
UPS sent 27 million packages yesterday. It is foolish to think yours will be treated like an antique. I work for UPS and some of these drivers start sorting packages at 4am and then go out and deliver their route, and many of them only take a 10-15 minute lunch with no breaks. Every second of the way they're getting told to go faster.
Most the time the driver can tell if the package can handle getting tossed, and by the time they get the package it's been dropped, thrown and stepped on multi

I see a UPS truck park in front of a house, which i know has a camara that records everything that goes on in front. So, I quickly run home and get a hold of a box, which used to shelter my own High definition Plasma Tv -- of course that was true before i hang it on my wall. First thing I do is to filled that empty box with a ton of paper. Second, I taped it. Third, I go to the house with the truck parked in the drive way. Four, I throw the box over the fence.

They always come up to my door. If I don't answer, then they either leave it by the door, or if they think it's something expensive, they take it back and come back another day. I use to work for fed ground and thats how we treated everybodys packages. You should see how they are treated at the facility. Sometimes we would get pissed and kick boxs also.
My friend had a Kanstul 33-S tuba that cost $8,000 delivered by UPS and when he got it, the bell was severely dented. He had seen it before shipping in person and it was just fine, not a scratch on it. Despite having fragile all over it, it still got dented while IN THE CASE! If you've seen a tuba case, you will know it takes a serious fucking fall to damage it. The worst part, UPS wouldn't pay when he issued a damage claim because the case "didn't have much damage".

C. Service denies to be responsible for it and lots more.

I just got dicked by a HS drop out that works for UPS. Only my package that got damaged was an $800 sound system for my house. Guess what, UPS said it wasn't their fault and they're not replacing it!

But the one we have now is much more nice, and sets packages down nicely. The previous driver was a total jackass. The one before the jackass was totally cool, we were almost good friends (we have ups delivery's every 2 days or so).

What you don't see in the video, is there is probably a gate or an obstruction between those bushes. And if there's not certainly he's frustrated at the overgrown poor condition of that front yard. In my area, the county code people would be on my ass if my front yard looked like that. I doubt he threw the next delivery. But when it comes to an obstruction and getting your package, you're going to get your package.
I would like to thank you for posting this video because now I am really thankful for my UPS delivery guy and I learned to appreciate him a lot more. Also, a little advice...don't order anything that's fragile. i.e. glass made products

We once had problems about getting our packages. We would wait and wait. When we would call to ask about the packages we were told that they were delivered. After some checking, we found our packages... in the recycle bin!

I use to work for fed ground and thats how we treated everybodys packages. You should see how they are treated at the facility. Sometimes we would get pissed and kick boxs also.

My friend had a Kanstul 33-S tuba that cost $8,000 delivered by UPS and when he got it, the bell was severely dented. He had seen it before shipping in person and it was just fine, not a scratch on it. Despite having fragile all over it, it still got dented while IN THE CASE! If you've seen a tuba case, you will know it takes a serious fucking fall to damage it. The worst part, UPS wouldn't pay when he issued a damage claim because the case "didn't have much damage".

some customers actually want us to throw the packages, I have one that was mad because I didn't do it, hello, did you see the 8 ft tall gate in front of your house? he was expecting me to toss a big package, which I didn't, mostly because I'm not going to hurt myself doing it. if the front gate is locked I will toss it on the grass. Ive delivered to houses that look like a jungle, flies all over the area. the doorbell by the door, and the front gate is locked, hello!!!

@jsboutin3 Its not just about cleaned up yards...my walkway is very well maintained and there were still a couple drivers who would toss boxes. But the one we have now is much more nice, and sets packages down nicely. The previous driver was a total jackass. The one before the jackass was totally cool, we were almost good friends (we have ups delivery's every 2 days or so).

What you don't see in the video, is there is probably a gate or an obstruction between those bushes. And if there's not certainly he's frustrated at the overgrown poor condition of that front yard. In my area, the county code people would be on my ass if my front yard looked like that. I doubt he threw the next delivery. But when it comes to an obstruction and getting your package, you're going to get your package.
