I knew a guy from Lebanon, IL back in the 70s by the name of Rodney Brooks (they used to call him Sky Brooks) who was 6'4" in high school and used to bump his head on the rim by accident all the time when trying to block shots. Believe me, there are guys that can do it. His younger brother was only 6'1" and could get higher off the floor than him, but he didn't have arms as long, so he could reach quite as high on the backboard. Rodney could touch the top of the backboard when he was a frosh.
