  • love the video

  • Hi Toxicg00 Sad,story with a happy ending. Nice work. I wonder if you still have the A/C stuff that goes under the hood from your 71 Challenger? And if you do, are you willing to sell? Let me know. Thanks Robert bobbeat@videotron.ca

  • "Small blocks are for women" lmao!

What a journey. If you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any at all. Hit by a drunk driver, loss due to fire and having to drill that pilot hole. I figure you've had your fair share of life's shit so you should be safe now.

  • Really enjoyed your story, quite the turn of events.

Had a 73 Nova I never should have sold...but most guys a have a story like that!

  • Great clip man!

  • hahahah....the fucker cumpled like a piece of tinfoil....fuckin junk

  • @BudR32 - You drive a Pontiac Aztek don't you?! And your parents were siblings (that means, brother and sister)?!

  • @BudR32 did you not see that ford?? that car was a tank!

  • then something evil came in the picture jack daniels whiskey lmao

  • you have bad luck, sorry for the two muscles

  • omg i feel so sorry for you man i love these cars

  • That is one EVIL ENGINE!! .....nice video man.

  • great car glad you didn;t get discouraged with all your setbacks.

  • what are the songs you used to play for this video?

  • Sorry about the late response (I forgot my password) - all three songs are listed in a previous Q&A (about a year ago): UFO, George Clinton & Robin Trower.

  • Dude, that is one sad story, glad you finally got to have a sweet muscle car in the end there, heart braking on the charger, then the challenger as well!!! But in the end, sweet ride... The replacement challenger looked like a SHITBOX when you first got it but turned out very nicely in the end

  • This is an awesome video bro! A truly epic Mopar video! I'm suprised more people haven't seen it!

  • Comment removed

  • wat is name of the second song??

  • Franklin's Requiem by George Clinton (from the 3000 Mile to Graceland soundtrack).

  • I envy you SO much. I can't even get 1 challenger and you get a charger AND 2 challengers.... oh and great video. nice job on the car too.

  • The second chance... Great!

  • mate it was sad to see those cars destroyed as the 69-70 Charger and the 70-71 Challenger are my favrote of the US Muscle other than the Aussie Muscle Ive owned over the years and either one the Charger or Challenger I would love to buy one day

  • now what do u have and what are u driving ?

What did u sell the challenger for ?

  • For a daily driver, I have a 'new' Charger (Go-Man-Go), and as far as toys . . . I have my two '61 Plymouths (check out my other videos to see 'em). I sold the Challenger for a hair under $10K back in 2001; it sounds like pennies now, but back then nobody was offering any more and I needed the money.

  • @Toxicg00 damn dud this made me cry all that terrible shit happening to u

  • what happened to the burnt Challenger body ?

what years did this all take place ?

You need R/T quarter panel scoops !

  • The Charger was destroyed in 1983, and the Challenger was toasted in 1988; I'm sure both are now living again as bread makers or washing machines . . .

As far as the scoops go, I wanted it clean without all of the 'show' stuff (with the exception of the stripes, you'll notice I didn't put on the flip-top gas cap either; I had it, just liked it 'plain'. The guy that bought the car was planning on adding on the flashy stuff.

  • Gotta love de Mopars !!!

    Fantastic clip !!!

  • ouchhhh thatt carr wasss hurtttinggg luckyy she got revived againn greatt carr dont take it out on driking nights no moree lol

  • Crack is not the answer, son . . . get help now.

  • i love the opening score ufo and shencker are the best great for the charger scene sorry for all the shit you been through with your cars man but what can you say persistence paid off great looking ride

  • aww man that is one of the sadest stories ive ever heard, it brought a tear to my eye, but at least you got a sexy car in the end, i just bought myself 1970 dodge challenger R/T with a 440RB, gunna fix it up itl be my baby

  • hay thats cooland all but you with all those challengers even if it did have A auomatick thats biching dude i would never have swaped for a stick then an say th400 turchflite automatick my dads 1971 dodge challenger hads a turck flite so thats cool i guess not my type od thang

  • Ooooo ouch! Great video. I had my 65 Coronet destroyed by a woman who ran a red light while driving a very large 4X4 diesel. I'm now restoring a 69 Roadrunner and this video reminds me that I really should insure it.

  • hey dude, i just bought a 68 roadrunner and was wondering if you know any good places to get replacement parts. the only really major thing i need is a dash the car is in top shape very happy with the buy.

  • One of my High school buds had a '69 Road Runner - I had the Charger at the time and we were always looking for a long, straight streach of road to open 'em up. As far as dash parts, I'm assuming you've checked the resto stores (Paddock, Year One); there are a few companies online that rebuild dashes but they're not cheap (fix and repaint gauges, etc). Good Luck!

  • interesting story...

so what happened to your '69 charger after the accident? did you still have the remains of the car? or did you send it to the wrecking yard?

  • Once the body was stripped down, the car was hauled away (that was in 1983, so now it's probably a part of your oven or dish washer).

  • What happend to the rallye gauges in the '70?

  • The fire warped/distorted/melted pretty much everything on the dash; nothing was reusable.

  • Did you save any of it?

  • This fire happened about 20 years ago; at the time, I pulled off as many usable parts as I could but nothing from the interior was saved (everything that I didn't take went to the wrecking yard along with the remains of the car).

  • Thats a shame, I was just looking for some more parts to finish up my 71 Challenger. I have to say that its almost like that police 440 was cursed because everytime it went into a car something bad happened.

  • Omg Wow what a story brought a tear to my eye, what a video 5 stars, epic film, dramatic it;s great, love your car best of luck

  • hahahahahah

    great car anyway ;)

  • holy shit.. you're fuckin' unlucky :(

  • Sometimes it seems that way, but I got my health and a huge . . . amount of determination that keeps me going.

  • i love the song can you please tell me what it is?

  • There's actually 3 songs in that video clip; at the beginning it's Love to Love by UFO(only a portion of the song, it's actually over seven minutes long), then Franklin's Requiem by George Clinton (from the 3000 Mile to Graceland soundtrack), and finally there's Daydream by Robin Trower (Live album). If you like that bluesy guitar music (as I do), check out the soundtrack to the movie RUSH (It features Eric Clapton). Enjoy!

    Randy

  • thats 2 things we have in Common Blues Guitar and Mopars!! thanks soo much love the video am finding the songs now! great
