I'm simply asking, as the devil's advocate, where Maher was when Dan Rather was less than cordial with Reagan. I think only history will show who was "better" as a president. For what it's worth, Reagan's stinginess is what gave Clinton all that money to spend. Obama probably had more in his in-tray than any president since Johnson. We'll see.

@sal You remark about economic decline without looking data. By what metric do you judge it? Gini coefficient? Interest rates? American dollar value? GDP or GNP? Look at any of those metrics you'll change your opinion. Instead of being a Clinton fanboy, do some research. I didn't like Reagan. I thought he was a stingy, racist, dingbat of a man. The only reason history hasn't depicted him as an idiot is because of Quayle, George W & Palin. I'm delighted he's dead. But give Reagan his credit.
