Woohooo I fixed a backpack that i didn't have to buy. LUCKY Match!! What i recommend if the zipper is zipped up at the very bottom is cutting apart the teeth and then cutting the excess away...I hope all but the best of luck for all zipper fanatics

I used the scissor method and it worked quickly and easily! I sewed some zipper teeth slightly ahead of the scissor cut to prevent the zipper from getting undone. Great video!

How would you fix the zipper if it closes properly for 2 inches then the rest of it becomes seperated if you continue to zip it all the way to the top? This is on a jacket by the way

this is brilliant! I've been to two tailors who told me there was nothing that could be done to my dress other than to install a new zipper but I followed these instructions and it worked perfectly! Thank you!

@jlchauss they would have done the same but charged you for a complete zipper job because they are thieves. alittle majic marker on the zipper makes it look like they sewed a different one in. presto chango and you have been screwed.

I might add that you should be careful when using the pliers on the zipper. My zipper became bent, so i used to the needle-nose pliers to fix, and my zipper completely snapped. soo, be careful. thanks for video though
