People say this album is great - and I'm not denying that - but the songs just aren't grabbing me the way a lot of the songs on A Seldom Seen Kid do. I mean, listen to songs like "The Bones of You", "Grounds For Divorce", "One Day Like This and "Friend of Ours" - there is something really special and magical to those songs that seem to be lacking in the songs on this album.

@twochordcool Those are amazing songs but what about the song 'Great Expectations' on this, that is an brilliant and intensely emotional song. Also there are songs like 'My Very Best' which is such a great way of putting those feelings and is refreshingly and amazingly devoid of any bitterness. Personally this is my favourite Elbow album, followed by Seldom Seen Kid, but I was dissapointed with Build a Rocket Boys!.
