  • the greatest olympian of all time. these days you see hothoused westerners thinking they can do anything. this guy hadnt seen a 50m pool before the race. yet he smashed his PB and NR, so who gives an eff about gold? it aint about winning, its about taking part. i couldnt have done what he did nor could most people. true olympic spirit.

  • The other two swimmers racing both jumped the gun and got disqualified. He swam by himself and actually set a new 100m record for his country.
