These people deserve to see the truth. It's all over the internet and it's perfectly legal. If you want to see the real hell of war, take a visit to liveleak.com . Our people deserve to know.. It's their right..
I strongly disagree.. I believe America has the right to know what our men go through on a daily basis. War is so glamorized to us from the media that people lose sight of what war really is. It's a very ugly thing. I myself lost my roommate before I had joined. His name was Matthew Wilson and was killed by an I.E.D . It's a very sensitive subject to touch on but it's also reality.. Matt was with the 10th Mtn Div. so when I saw this post, it made me think of him.
Thank you to Jim Wade for sharing this video and the experience he had while riding with my son and his team that day (My son is the driver). Most of all thank you Jim for everything you did for my son that day. You will always have my families most heartfelt gratitude. Sharing this experience is important, and appreciated. I am glad our is a survivors story, there were too many that were not.
My truck was hit in October of 06 and we weren't so lucky it killed my truck commander and my interpreter it took my gunners foot off and my driver took a piece of shrapnel to the back I took shrapnel all up and down my right side it was a horrible day for my platoon so thank god all of these guys pulled through
this is almost relieving to be able to show what its like being hit by an EFP. You can't explain it in words and this gives an idea for those who don't mind sharing their experience to help them cope. My team was hit with one in 07, everyone in the truck was injured, but my gunner was critically injured. He pulled through and is now medically retired and attending college. I'm so happy to hear that everyone in this vid is ok, I pray for them and hope all is well. Its a horrifying experience.
Wow. my dad was in the same situation. he had minor burns on parts of his skin. they sent him home after. he just got back home safe about 5 days ago. this video is everything he decribed!
don't put shit like this on the internet...if you've ever seen people die from efp's or ied's, maybe you'd understand... this isn't something that i'd want to see if i'd had a family member die from a blast.... when you've picked up pieces of bodies, maybe you'll get it... till then, get this shit off the internet.
You don't understand - the photojournalist ask me to post this so that we could see what our guys go through. No one died, no one was critically injured. It was too horrible true. But our soldiers face this everyday!
You don't understand anything. That is my brother and people should see this and understand what our soldiers are going through over. He respects the idea of people getting an understanding as should you. Think before you put ridiculous comments for the world to see you never know who is reading them.
The heat of the EFP melted the locks on the door so thats why the soldier was sayin "I cant open the fuckin door!" But I read some of these other comments and happy to hear that those guys are ok
they where very lucky to survive that one you can see where it is buried in the road as the vehical drives towards it then boom wow that would be real scary to be in that thats why i think all terroists should be wiped of the face of the earth
That was B co right around the end of March Madness 2008. I remember when this happened. I hate that traffic circle too. Fucking NP probably put that shit in.

The title gives a description of the video, so if you're offended, don't watch it.

Jim asked me to wait for 2 weeks to publish this so that the family of the wounded soldiers could be notified. He's back over in the thick of it now.
