@hakaida0 The part where you say he votes arbitrarily against Obama on anything and everything can already be thrown out the window. He, along with several other Republican House members such as Ron Paul and Joesph Cao, voted in favor of repealing 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell', in which they succeeded. So far, he is has kept his promise on working for the People instead of working for the Republican Party.
@TheEtherShot Oh? I live in the Pearl City area, and his actions are helping me greatly. I don't need to be living in a multi-million dollar mansion to be helped by my Congressman. Corrupt? He has already taken on the economy, the Jones Act, and trade relations with China in his first month in the House. If he is truly corrupt as you say he is, I would like to see some credible evidence that supports your claim.
@GOPofHawaii How much is he paying you to spam youtube? Oops I better shut up before he puts a hit on me. How has he helped you beside personal gain. Think twice before using taxpayer money to film a infomercial.
@TheEtherShot None actually (surprised?), I support him because I AGREE with him. Tax payer money? Are you kidding me? This ad (like every other campaign ad out there) was paid for by money from FUNDRAISING. Are you aware how much money Djou garnered from fundraising events? Go look it up, because obviously you do not know.
They got Racist Rand. But after recently, I don't see him winning now. By the way. Did you see how many Democrats showed up to vote in Kentucky compared to the Republicans? Did you notice those 4 other races the Baggers thought they would win, they did not. Hmmm. Like I've always said. This will not be like 1994. Personally, I never liked one party controling the Congress. But due to the GOP's childish NO attitude, I'll make an acception
I will only give credit to the Tea Baggers when they win elections by votes only without split votes. Just like in Massachsuetts. Brown won only, because Coakley, with a cocky attitude, did not want to go out, and shake hands with the public. That caused, and you can check, 40% of Democrats coming out to vote compared to 98% Republicans. So again, the Democrats beat themselves.
Let me guess. The Tea Baggers are going to take credit for this also. Wrong. Djou got 67, 610 votes. He won only, because Hanabusa, and Case split the vote. Theirs combined were 99.193. Hmmm. Trust me when I say, and you heard it here first. The Democrats in Washington D.C. will fix that within the Democrat party in Hawaii. In short, it will be a short stay for Djou. But in the mean time Djou enjoy it.
@WilliamHCarney That is true, the total amount of Democrat votes outnumbers Charles's. But you are pretty smart, and you know that Democrats are not all the same. Hanabusa is a far left candidate, Case in the middle, and Djou on the right. Now that Case has dropped (the more moderate voters), I do not believe all of them support Hanabusa. And with the progress Djou has made in the House in just one month, there is a pretty good chance Djou can keep his seat for another two years.
@hakaida0 I side with haolejohn on this one. Unlike Case and Hanabusa (and their supporters), he see's the House seat as the seat of the people, NOT the seat of the Democratic Party. And today the people of Hawaii said just that. Congratulations Charles!
I voted for Djou! You should too! He is the man! Let me know Charles how may I help you in Novermber! I already know you'll win the special election. I need to help back you at NO charge!
@hakaida0 But there is also the fact that not all Democrats would vote for the other candidate. If the special election were like that, then he definitely would've lost. But if the November elections are like that, there is still a good chance he can keep the seat. There is still lots of time to campaign and share his views to get more supporters.
@haolejohn It's an empty catchphrase. Djou talks about cutting taxes, but he doesn't talk about specifics. What will he cut to pay for those tax cuts and how will the trillions in debt racked up under Bush EVER get paid? $1.2 trillion of this year's national deficit comes from Bush-era spending - spending for programs ALREADY in place BEFORE President Obama even took office. Is he for cutting our biggest expenditure - defense? What gets cut? "The only special interest is you" is empty rhetoric.
@Tommygun264 Those are questions you should ask Djou himself. If you actually went to his rallies, sent him e-mails/letters, or actually tried to contact him about these issues instead of just ranting on the internet, you can actually get answers and can criticize because of his answers, NOT just because of his views. But now that he is Congressman, you have more than the opportunity to do so.
