  • I saw mosquito larvae...

  • put an actual bomb system in it. lol

  • now kill a fish with it :-D

    no, seriously, this is awesome!

  • the fireing mechanism is a simple spring or what are u using? I noticed that the torpedo leaves right after te door opens, which might mean that te torpedo is pushed against a spring after which the door is closed, so that the torp is launched when the doors open. Am I right or are u using another system?

  • @porsjuh, You are right about the springsystem, to see how it's really working search for the other vid i made during testing it on the dry in the shop.

  • Rear torpedo tube is pretty cool xD

  • uno muerto :D

  • すごい、ナイス!!!

  • Can't you just use a tube with some baking soda packed in there? It will react with the water a push it along nicely.

  • IMpressive - if you could get counter rotating props you're accuracy would be improved immensely!

  • @scottturchin I agree with you about the counterrotating props, but with this size it will take to much weight, if they were bigger i would give it a try.

  • 0:14 misquito larvey

  • is that ruber pond stuff expensive ?

can you buy it buy the yard or you have to buy a large roll because i went to home depot to get some and it was expensive

  • Yes it's pretty expensive, you can buy it by the lenght you need, but at the local gardenstore they had one piece left from the roll, could buy it for a good price.

  • how did you make the water tub thing in you back yard

  • Made a wooden frame covered it with a kind of rubber blanket, the same stuff they use for making a little pond in the backyard, the advantage is that you can remove it during wintertime, and build it up again during the summer.

  • worms in the water ????

  • what scale is this beautiful model

and is it a custom build or a kit conversion.

ive been building german subs for about 4 years now

    quite a wolf pack really

  • Scale is 1:35, custom build, except for the hull, bought that item in 1988, no longer available for the market.

First trails in 1990, still improving the outside to more scale.

  • Really nice vid, I can't believe how awsome that looks and that the torpedos actually have there own motors. Here's an idea.. An r/c park with scan builds, road, feilds, and sea side for all types of r/c's to free fly or water craft of diffrent sorts. Then certain sections could have battles between the diffrent or similar r/c's. I think r/c's of you calirbor would be awsome! I think I'll actually try and do a google sketch of such a place :) what do you think of a place like this?

  • omg awesome, how would one go about starting to build a sub similar, im into rc cars and planes but never tried boats and wanted to build a uboat or something similar

  • You can start by buying a sub from Engel, or from OTW,the best brands to start and if you have enough patience you can end like mine, remember that all the extra stuff on my boat is not standard to the Engel or OTW kit, you have to do that on your own.

  • how did you even begin to learn? by the way, your sub is sooo awesome

  • Just start with some simple models and with the experience of building start on a bigger project.

  • 1:5 the boat is coming xD

  • Great vid.

  • Torpedo action! Cool think its the best to see during the trials and errors some of them both. The misfire was actually a good thing to see from a visual sense. Your sub is one of my favorites! Keep doing what you do sir!

  • You could use a gyroscope and a simple circuit to steer them straight. Though, you'd have to also add additional servos for rudder control, soon your torpedoes would be the size of the sub..

  • omg.. u have aft torpedos too? thats like.. 3 extra buttons or sumthing. Must b expensive. Could a 14 year old highschool sophmore afford this on $20 allowance?

  • About the money, building a sub as mine is not cheap, you won't make it with 20 dollars allowance.

Or try to buy one of the many toy subs they sell to gain experience for the future

  • Nice. Have you considered actually making them explosive? There's a few vids up here on YouTube that show people with actual micro depth charges that they use for these RC subs and boats, lol. It's awesome.

  • I've seen a vid on youtube with working explosives inside the torp, they explode on impact, but the size of my torps is to small, i have only 2 grams of weight over then they start to sink.

  • What kind of motor and battery do you use for the torpedos to run so fast?

  • I use e motors from conrad 1,5 V, batterypack is 2,4V 150mA, so i have lots of power for the e motor

  • Great video, light was good, very clear. One door looks to be sticking, but I know you'll sort that.

  • thats awesome! it looks epic underwater :D

  • Nice it looks like it doesn't bob

    Great Job! =D

PS: is it the camera view or are the torpedoes veering off a little?

  • If it's not the camera it could be that the torpedoes are torque steering.
