If u love Loki watch the motion comic Loki Thor: Blood Brothers. The animation is basic but the dialogue and delivery by broadway actors is great. It's soooo quotable.
I cannot get enough of this scene, it is so very heartbreaking. Made even worse when you realise that not only is Loki a Jotunn/Monster but also considered deformed by that very race and left to die because of that fact. His own race didn't even want him.
Makes me creys so much more. No wonder he basically has a psychotic attack near the end.

Wouldn't surprise me if, after "The Avengers", Loki ends up becoming a servant for other villains, such as Thanos or Kang.
Thanos apparently is considered to be the most powerful and most dangerous enemy whom the Avengers had to deal with, so it'd be interesting to see if he and Loki were to team up in the future.
Tom Hiddleston invested much more acting effort than would have been expected in a movie like this, i think what he did with such a mistreated character such as Loki ( he was under used and the mischief aspect of him was almost completely ignored) is amazing, the amount of feeling in his 'tell me' scream forces such a large amount of sympathy for him that i ended up watching the entire film again and just pretended that Loki was the main damn character.
That's why in Thor's Banishment scene, when Loki wanted to speak, Odin shouted that "RAAAAAAAAWWR"... It was something like "Family talkin', monster!"
the way he says "What?" so painfully at 0:29 literally breaks my heart. I think that one of the main reasons that people loved and pitied Loki so much in this movie, despite the fact that he does some awful things, is because it's so easy to see how much he's hurting. He lived his entire life in Thor's shadow and then discovers that he's a monster, not exactly the easiest thing to handle.
That's so beautiful. Loki is the greatest character in this film, and I'm looking forward to seeing him as the main villian in the Avengers. I hope they don't make him too terrible though. I want him to remain this misunderstood guy who you love even while he's killing people. Also, he had better have some great lines with Tony Stark.
So, basically, Odin's saying that he only saved Loki to use him later as a bargaining chip in a peace deal, but since Thor (the bonehead) stormed in and started a war peace is no longer an option and Loki is therefore no longer necessary.
... Is it any wonder that Loki snapped at the end??? Movie actually pissed me off quite a bit in the treatment of Loki. Hell, not even Thor was nice to him. In the few scenes they shared, all Thor did was snap at him. Oh, Loki, you're too good for them :(

There's the part in the Thor movie where Thor is speaking to Loki through the Destroyer and he says something like, "I don't know what I've done to upset you" and I was like, "Seriously?! Nothing comes to mind? Cause I can name at least half a dozen."
But yeah, at least Thor did learn from his mistakes and tries to make up for it. Still feel bad for Loki though ...

It's sad that Loki truly thinks that no one will ever genuinely love him just for being himself. That heavy feeling that weighs him down--the doubt he drowns in whenever someone expresses affection, is always there to remind him that it was just some trick, something to be done in exchange for whatever he could offer. Even sadder is the fact that he was proven right.
Ok this was a pretty sad scene. I understand that Odin didn't tell him because of course Loki would feel out of place, but at the same time it could allow him to except the fact that he is Laufey's son. Better that then for him to find out something must be wrong like when they went to the Frost Giant's realm (can't spell what the name of realm is called). Loki however looks so cute in the scene too, want to give him a hug, hell it is not like he wanted to be bad anyways.

I actually felt bad for Loki. I thought he was bad guy from the start but then you see it was this feeling of not belonging and overshadowed by big brother and this anger of being lied to his whole life that just pushed him to the Dark Side. lol

Watching this as his beginning to fall into darkness makes me feel so sad for what our Loki will have become by the time Avengers comes around <3 I miss quiet fairly-innocent post-this scene Loki already. I think he made the choice to be a villain, but I still feel bad for him, and he's still my favorite.

I don't know if that sweet little "what?" is more heartwrenching or if it's the stammering in confusion. Either way, this scene is the best. Tom's acting is incredible and it really makes you feel for Loki as a character. This scene made it for me.

Marvel's best villain on film. For once, instead of just wanting the hero to kick their ass, I actually felt sympathetic for a villain, becuase of this scene and at the end where he says "Father, I could have done it for you...for all of us".
