@TheSK8R41 OH big time. Id recomend the anime. From what i read on wiki the anime has some notible differences from the manga, which i have yet to read, but i did enjoy the manga. I say watch it because it is a very good anime to watch.

The only reason why the anime ended so soon , is because the manga it self releases on a MONTHLY basis . Its has only 29 chapters(as of writing this) . Oh and the anime deviated from the manga at around episode 12ish , the manga plot is better . Go give it a read unless youre patient enough for an anime .

But I have to disagree with you when you say some parts of the show are a little cliche. In my opinion, every part of the show goes together perfectly. Blue Exorcist is by far the best anime ever made, and I can only expect more demonic awesomeness to come.

But this show made me fucking cry. Bitch tears. I'm serious. It's a really touching anime and characters develop unlike Bleach and Naruto. For example, episode 16 :)
