That's great buddy. You do 'feel' the music just like Gary. Keep it up and follow his footsteps, I want to hear more from you and I am fussy. Next time we want to see your face and introduce yourself. Thanks for the tribute - you did it proud.
You learned this piece very well. A really good job! Did you learn this from tab or from sheet music notation? And, what model did you choose for the Cube 20X and how did you set the amp's E.Q. volume and gain too?
@classic005465 I set the EQ to 12 o'clock for treble, middle freq, bass to around 10 o'clock- assuming that 12 o'clock would be the normal position. Amp mode: metal stack. Volume:1/4, maybe a touch higher, gain is 50%, echo to around 0.4 sec- needs to be checked by ear since it is analogue, not parametric. But thats not how the GM sound comes. It is the proper vibrato combined with bends everywhere, since he uses a whammy bar on his Jackson and doing it on a Les Paul is tricky.
@stebbZv Well it all depends what I practice If I do bendings then I often kill my hand in 30 minutes. If I practice accords then I do it for man an hour. If I just impro or play some music on my mind, then I play for 1-2 hours. On the other hand, if I got onto something specific to learn, some new song or a solo, then I occasionaly practice up to 6 hours. I played The Loner about 5-15 times every single day in the last 4 months, till I felt somewhat ready to record. Thank you for your comment!

Really nice cover. It had some energy that is often lost if you practise til you know it in your sleep. Well Done.
