Something is not right about this guy. Anybody else notice that Celente changes his script sometimes? In one interview, he claims that he bought a 1994 Audi, while in another interview he claims that he bought a 1994 Volvo. Google it if you don't believe me.

My only concern with Gerald is that he is a little late to the party sometimes. About 2 weeks ago he came up with the statement the EURO currency would not be around in about 20 years. Well big news, as people like myself already knew that like 3 months ago.. So while I think Gerald is smart and good at predicting certain trends,.. i think he is a little late sometimes.

well im going to retract my statement a bit. the markets did Sell Off in March 2009 but we didnt see this Armageddon scenario that some predicted... Personally I profited when the Dow and S&P sold off using Inverse ETFs and i was real lucky in the sense that I did not see the armageddon scenario playing out yet, so i was able to book my profits.

the main trend Celente doesn't address is peak oil - it's the big one that will set the collapse wheels in motion - the Fed has proved quite successfully (in the short term) that they can keep the financial system afloat via money printing - they can't print oil - the global economy does not run without oil - it's quite possible that peak has already occured - record oil prices in 7/08 - global economic meltdown in 9/08 .. no coincidence - the oil endgame has begun.

This was his third or fourth appearance. Gerald is like a doctor telling his patient he has cancer and you would have him tell the patient that everything is alright believing that would solve the problem. The problem with the financial media is that they don't report what's actually happening because it's not "optomistic" enough. I think it's time for everyone to take their medicine, or in this case chemotherapy, and Gerald happens to be the brave doctor willing to deliver the bad news.

If your congressman in honest. Too many of them put lobbyists and campaign donors first. Also their careers come first. Many don't really care about the people so long as they get elected. He lost his nerve after a wrong (premature) call on the beginning of the bear market which was published in Barron's. Then knowing how manipulated the markets are, he had a more bullish view under the strained logic that we should have fallen along time ago but didn't.
Don't get me wrong he is a cogent thinker, and is right on about his underlying thesis about precious metals, but he made a couple miscalculations in an otherwise illustrious career.

I believe there is a greater than 50% chance that the meltdown which began Sep. 4th of last year is resuming as of June 22nd. Is it a coincidence that June 22nd was a New Moon?
