Ok im not trying to be mean and i know you are amazing and i can't play this as good as you but a suggestion - when you moving between chords in the intro that are further away from the one you changed from (if that makes sense) lift your fingers up slightly, you will still get the sound without the sorta squeaky metal sound. this is a really good cover, if you did it in a studio or something to clean up that strum slop, it's be awesomeeee lol, instead of doing the palm mute thing, just try free strumming and muting with your fingers lightly on the strings it'll clean up that open string strumming you're getting and yeah, just try it lol

Yes, I used my palm whie I was playing for this song. It makes some kind of percussion sound which makes very cool and rhythmical sound.

I tuned my guitar half step lower than regular tune. It makes heavier sound and easy for me to sing.

Do you know about rock backing chord? These are usually the chords for electric guitar for rhythm part.

You just need to play 5th and 4th strings only. There are 4 chords in the verse.

1. C (5th-3, 4th-5) 2. C/B(5th-2, 4th-5) 3. A (5th -0 4th-2) 4. F(5th-3 4th-3)

this isnt a particularly difficult song, if youre a beginner you could figure it out

The only thing I Id suggest is for the firs part until the corus you should palm mute a little bit, becuase if you play the whole at the same pace and same volume like even the chorus is just gonna sound very repetitive and it gets tiring for you. Ive been playing jack jhonson's songs for a while and im glad to see others do the same.
