  • Have you done Tarantino or Cameron?

  • What is the movie at 39 Seconds??

  • i'm so looking forward to Prometheus

  • He is great but also inconsistant, Gi Jane, A Good Year, Legend, and White Squall are not good films. But Blade Runner, Alien, Black Hawk Down, American Gangster, and Kingdom of Heaven are great films

  • what movie is at 1:14

  • @floss16 Pretty sure that's Black Hawk Down.

  • Yeah, except Hanibal was possably the most ill-conceived sequal of all time.

  • Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg, the greatest directors who will ever excist..

  • Why the hell does this video only have 1 top comment?

  • how dare you not have stanley kubrick

  • what movie is the clip of the motorcyclist dragging his blade from?

  • A montage of Michael Bay's so called films would be nothing but hot tan brunette actresses, slow motion sun set shots, people slowly getting out of cars with the camera looking up at them, and a shit ton of explosions with those weird electrical sparks in them, oh and really bad close ups and one liners.

  • Can't wait for Prometheus!

  • fk yeah! your videos just make me want to go see more movies! love it...thanx.

  • I cant believe Ridley Scott made G.I Jane, can we just forget that movie ever happened.

  • Sir Rid must be my fav director as I have more films by him than any other.

  • Knights of Cydonia! <3

  • Black Hawk Down OWNS Bay! fast action and a good script at the same time! which Scott pulled off very well! unlike transformer man

  • Michael Bay is SHIT!!!!!

  • Wondering if you could do Peter Jackson. Brilliant director but not sure if he has enough notable films yet.

  • @TwinkyInc Dude did the whole LotR trilogy, working on the Hobbit, King Kong, The Lovely Bones, & The Frighteners which I thought was a damn underrated movie, definitely has enough notable films to date.

  • films of scorsese?

  • I dare you to make the films of Michael Bay.

  • @TwinkyInc lol, it would be the same scene in multiple movies over and over again.

  • @TwinkyInc Michael Bay only knows how to make stuff go fast and blow up

  • @TwinkyInc yes, well.. good luck with that.

  • @keesvdijkhuizen Double dog dare you.

  • @TwinkyInc : 3 minutes of explosions.

  • @TwinkyInc Dude, Michael Bay sucks!!!

  • @TwinkyInc Ew, who would want to do that?

  • @ListedProduction Sarcasm

  • @TwinkyInc Ahh, I see

  • @TwinkyInc What is wrong with you...

  • @Eroo5 Sarcasm.

  • @TwinkyInc EXPLOSIONS......EVERYWHERE....

  • the ending when you play knights of cydonia is so bad ass

  • I'd totally love to see you do a "[the films of] James Cameron" next!

  • Going to have update this one, now that Prometheus has been scheduled for release.

  • Wait a few months and you can add Prometheus to the list.

  • gladiator is the best movie ever made

  • One of my favorite directors of all time with a couple o' songs from me favorite bands. WIN.

  • When I watch these things, I like to pretend that it's all one movie somehow.

  • That big "cast-call" at the end can unleash anyone's inner badass.

  • you are sooo good! Thank you so much!

  • This music is not my cup of tea. Fortunately, I can turn it off.

  • How did you even do this for such a large body of work? Amazing.

  • so when you do these... do these people direct the movies or are they the ones who created it... I know Tim Burton Directed all those movies, but i wasnt fully aware of Riley Scott

  • Some other ones I think you should do are James Cameron, Robert Zemeckis, Sam Raimi, George Lucas, Zack Snyder, and Quentin Tarantino

  • @Rantincorporated OH GOD I CANT WAIT FOR QUINTON"s

  • Best director ever, i love him

  • He ain`t my favourite but close, to me he can make bad work and some of his good films are only among the best of there years, not all time, but they are still excellent and numerous and he also made multiple best films of all time. He made Alien and Blade Runner which are 2 of the best films of all time, Thelma and Louise and Gladiator which are still in the top 100, Black Hawk Down which competed nicely with Memento, Black Rain, American Ganster Robin Hood, Body Of Lies and Mathstick Men!

  • You should do the films of Harmony Korine,he's amazing.By the way great job.

  • Ugh too bad Robin Hood was included. It's like an inferior rehash of KoH.

  • 1:05 ~ 1:11 Totally Badass!

  • amazing!! Blown away.. again

  • whats :31 movie

  • @ph33rbenkthankslol G.I Jane

  • Wow, just wow. You have a bright future ahead of you sir. Good form, good form.

  • is next month peter jackson or sam raimi

  • 1:14 what is that film ( with RPG and USA soldiers ) ?

  • @TheDzigi94 its from the begining in body of lies ;) thought thats almost the only time in the movie that you will see a US Soldier in action

  • @ridlazz921 Aha Ok ;) thx

  • Cool! But it doesn't show much what the themes of the movies are. Would be greater I think.

  • Mehh seen better but, good job.

  • once again, you never fail to amaze everyone who's watching your edited clips.

good job my friend, and as always, props for this amazing work!

  • you got crazy awesome editing skills dude. nice choice of music too. Bravo!

  • whats the film at 1:21?

  • @jamis53 its black rain ;)

  • @ridlazz921 thank you very much

  • those movies deserve something more epic than just Muse. Hans Zimmer where R U??

  • @scianka It doesn't get any more epic than Muse.

  • Very bad music choices.

  • freaking awesome!

  • Who knew Ridley Scott such great films... Thanks big k... Another masterpiece under ur belt

  • name songs ;>

  • Not enough Thelma and Louis on this video. I only noticed 2 shots of it. Great films anyway.

  • Darren Aronofsky deserves a "[the films of]" video :)

  • nice video, thanks for sharing

  • The thing that makes Ridley Scott so good is the cinematography and the way he can create epic scales. Kingdom of Heaven is my favorite film. Lots of people say it isn't as good as Gladiator, but IMO, its music and atmosphere are just much grander.

  • One of the gretest video that I saw not only in your channel, but also in the whole internet. I think that you introduce people in the true essence of the Art of Cinema. You freakin' rock, man!

  • Thank you for making one of Scott. As an aspiring Filmaker his films to me strike the balance between visual masterpiece and fine storytelling. My personal favorite from all the one's I have seen is Kingdom of Heaven. The cool thing about the film is that I got to go where they shot the inside of Jerusulem in Sevilla Spain. It was very cool. This video is very cool as well.

  • Nolan

    Kubrick

    Coppola

  • @0180917 Lucas, Spielberg, Singer, Donner, Fincher, Cameron, Mectierman, all are great!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:41 what movie ??

  • @sksppp The Duellists

  • I must admit, Kees, as an aspiring editor myself... I'm very jealous of you. Then again, the Dutch are good at everything. But you are too good.

  • That was Badass. Seriously badass.

  • @keesvdijkhuizen

Great editing still the best on YouTube, please make a video of [the films of] David Lynch ;)

  • i saw Gladiator and Black Hawk Down at a fairly young age, and they were my first favorite films. And they're still my favorite films.

  • Again, amazing. Nolan and Scorsese man!

  • I love all the songs you used in your videos. Can you create a playlist just with your favorite songs ?

  • Please do the films of Spielberg!! :)

  • очень круто... спасибо

  • you should do the films of tim burton

  • is it just me or is it that every time i rewatch one of your videos it gets better and better

  • Great job, once again. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the months to come :)

  • Great job, once again. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the months to come :)

  • Well done, sir .The only thing I'd take off for was that the audio edit at the beginning of the Muse song is more noticeable than it should've been, but the transition into text was fantastic.

  • I love you, Kees.

  • You honestly inspire my video editing. I love watching how you can combine movies so seemlessly. So many of these movies are different genres and yet they flow so well together. I would love to have your skill.

  • Well Done!!!!

  • When we all grow up, we will be able to say:

We, WE ! were the ones who loved Kees before he got so famous.

    That is a fact.

  • I wasn't quite convinced by the last videos, but with this one you blew me away once again kees! kudos to you

  • What A Crazy Motherfucking Good Piece Of Art

    Just Amazing, Keep it Up!

    PS: I can't wait for Cinema 2011, I'm so so curious :')

  • I just know, G.I.Jane, Galdiator, Robin Hood, Black Hawk Down and they are realy good films!!! That Video is also Great;-))) You use good music to it

  • @xVoSSIHQx I agree Robin Hood, Black Hawk, and Gladiator are excellent, but I would say G I Gane, was bad it was just empty!!!!!

  • Mmmm, delicious.

  • not enough alien or blade runner. still awesome, though

  • You continue to celebrate our best directors in the most magical way, and this is nothing short of that. Well done!!!

    PS.

Can't wait for his return to Sci-Fi with 'Prometheus' and 'Blade Runner 2'.

  • so many awesome movies

  • That was EPIC from start to finish.

  • MUSE!

  • Ridley Scott may not be the best director out there, and I was no fan of "Robin Hood" to be honest, nor most of his other films. They're mostly good, but only a few really great. Still, this video is pretty kickass, in much a similar way as Guy Ritchie, and I liked Guy Ritchie a lot less.

This is a strong piece of editing, with the rapid shots and titles towards the end being a particular highlight. Especially loved the closeup of the Alien's teeth for that quick "Alien" slice.

  • You should do a "Films of..." for Spike Lee.

  • Kinda bummed out you put 19 films into only about 180 seconds. Still awesome editing however.

Needed Rutger Hauer's "Tears in Rain" moment from Blade Runner, though.

Needed Rutger Hauer's "Tears in Rain" moment from Blade Runner, though. :P

  • Great job Kees! Can't wait for the final three installments!

  • outstanding as usual but some blade runner skyline shots would have perfected it :D

  • Great Job.

  • muse! love it

  • I wish you had used a little more classical score music rather than rock. But still well made like the others. I'm glad you did RS because I had forgotten about a couple of the films he's done.

  • gross you used muse.

  • @themaybatatter muse is good. One of the few good bands now adays

  • @Canaboll no they aren't

  • @themaybatatter well I like them. And they arent the garbage most people listen to now adays. current favorite is mumford and sons

  • @Canaboll I'll have to check that song out. I'll let ya know when I hate it.

  • @themaybatatter thats a band retard

  • @Canaboll ha k.

  • @themaybatatter Check out their older stuff, their new albums are nothing compared to their first few

  • @xXDarKnight77Xx honestly what I don't like about them is they make 1 great song on every album and that one song tricks me into buying the whole stupid shit album. and knights of cydonia is its over used in videos like this.

  • @themaybatatter I understand that. They do lack a lot of consistency, they are definitely more of an acquired taste sort of band.

  • scott would be proud of you !!!

  • Wow, you missed out on lots of Blade Runner Skyline footage there.

    Still, great work.

  • this one was cut more like a trailer. Preferred the others.

Please do Kubrick and Mann next.

  • @keesvdijkhuizen You have no idea what mark you leave on people's minds. I watch movies and they affect the way i contact with people, the way i get up every morning the way i live my life. But movies cant compare to what you do. You are the master of Editing.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another triumph! I dont LOVE any of Ridley Scott's films, but this made me want to see the ones I havnt seen yet. Again, great job!

BTW, I would love to see [the films of] Nicolas Winding Refn or Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Neither of them get the respect they deserve.

  • I tought you'll use more Blade Runner. But still you make one of the finest videos on Youtube. This one is good, it's raw. It's whole Ridley Scott.

    P.S.

Ive got personal question. What are you doing for living? or studying? Is it combined with films or production? Cuz i'm curious where do you get all this knowlege and sense used in your videos. If THIS is only your hobby then.....WOAH i'm impressed^^

  • @big1234333 I got admitted to film school this year! Next year I'll specialize in feature editing. Thanks!

  • @keesvdijkhuizen thats awesome keep it up.

  • @keesvdijkhuizen as someone who works in the industry, I can tell you that you don't need to go to school, you're already a better editor than many getting paid for it.

  • @keesvdijkhuizen You know what this means? Honestly? That they obtained a great material to make hell-of-a-damn-good Editor! Youve got so much predispositions! Your works have watched over 2 000 000 people - hey, that must mean something;>

In few years I want to see your works on a BIG SCREEN!

    Don't let me down^^

    Peace!

  • he really has made some of the most detailed and visually rich films ever hasn't he?

  • That was epic. Well Done.

  • Who's the next?

Like I already told you, I'd like to see [the films of] Martin Scorsese or Nicolas Winding Refn.

  • Such a great work. You get more and more interesting as time passes, I'm REALLY looking forward to Cinema 2011, you better not screw this one.

A little side story: I was showing some raw footage of a project I'm working on to my parents and to some friends of their, when when I got the email alert that you uploaded the video, so I stop the clips that I was showing and I show them yours, they remained speechless, and wanted to see more stuff of yours. you gained 6 new fans.

  • Bravo!

  • Knew it'd be badass!

  • You are the man, great work!

  • Ridley scott definitely has the best movies of all time! all of these movies i just love!

  • amazing as usual lol :) you should do christopher nolan or tim burton! Tim Burton for halloween lol :D good job

  • @Peon21 ,Hola peon creo que un amigo de kees hizo un video de paul thomas anderson ,checa su canal :heresjohnny1991

  • I see how you used so many songs to portray the huge variety of films Ridley Scott has made. Excellent.

  • Please, Quentin Tarantino or Robert Zemeckis

  • @carlosneos01 I've made one you might enjoy =)

  • Such an incredibly diverse career... so many excellent films... man!
