That is a jersey wooly. I don't trim mine like that. I just brush him with a rake comb and one of those loop things with teeth. Hair comes flying off.
You should collect the fur that comes off during sheering, and take it to a spinner. Good angora yarn can be up to 30-50 dollars a skein, and even more than that depending on the quality. Definitely invest in spinning and selling your rabbit's fur.
Ive never owned a rabbit so im no expert, but if rabbits are anything like other animals, the whiskers are probably very distinguisable from the rest of the fur. Just move it out of the way. I dont know what would happen if you cut the whiskers though, although I cant imaging anything bad would happen.
if you have some hair that is at least 3" long you can spin it or sell it to someone who will and it is soft and warm, people who grow them for the hair clip it every 3 months
For such small creatures, it takes forever for a good haircut doesn't it? Sometimes I feel like I'm at it for 2 hours. Save the long hair and you can spin it into yarn quite easily.
When you hold him/her up how do you get him/her to stay so still? D:

Aww.the bunny seemed to behave really well. I guess it doesn't mind the cut? My loppy eared bunny hates getting its nails cut.
